TALKSPORT coverage is so unbarebale at times. My fault for listening I know, but they've battered West Ham at half time and said how lucky they are. Then Durham tries to further wind up their fans by saying Bowen should leave to them and compares them to a dead body. Then they double down on it as second half starts and West Ham score a second 😂

West Ham defense has been very poor in this game. There are gaps everywhere since the first minute. Newcastle are just playing with this nervy urgency which rarely results in goals. No methodical at all.

I think they defended quite well after the initial newcastle attempts. 

Closed down well and moved the ball very well.

Newcastle should have had a pen though

I was thinking this while I can't sleep, I couldn't be a football manager. I know you get paid a tonne of money and I could retire on managing a team for a week and getting sacked for poor performance in the premier league. But the amount you gave to do, deal with is actually incredible. I'm talking on a human level. You have to manage 25 players directly, deal with the press and their relentless questions and criticism, outside noise from the press, fans and other sources. Then on match day you've got 12-80k people watch you do your job and get on your back when things go wrong or they dont agree and a lot more behind the scenes stuff. I'm surprised people want to do it.

 

I know people will say they get paid handsome for it and I maybe being soft, but on a human level it must take a certain type of person to deal with that level of intensity and stress. I just couldn't do it. I know life is stressful for others as well for different reasons, I do get that, of course. But I just think the high levels in this type of job must be incredible 

 

Amazing what you think of a 4am and can't sleep.
