Just a bit of a nothing player so far, doesn't really do anything that wrong or bring much to a game, hopefully a better manager can unlock something.

I'm judging Soumare over the 67 games (3954 minutes) of his City career.

 

Skipp has play 644 minutes in his City career, jury is still out.

I don't really know what he does. Seemed a waste of money at the time and is looking more and more like the case. Will be decent in the Champ next year though.

If you know the game what has he done of note in any game he's played for us. Even Cooper has given up on him and we know how little he knows.

 

He loses possession too often offers nothing going forward and isn't strong enough in defense. So what does he bring to the Team. ?

Do you know what journeyman means? The lads played for one club before us not including a loan.

Pretty sure I've shot this comment down before. He's only ever been under contract at one club for his entire career so far.  The complete opposite of a journeyman.

Sorry but I disagree. What has he done for us that he has excelled at.  He cant defend other than putting a foot in. He cant carry the ball without losing possession.

He's not strong enough in challenges and not as good as Winks in possession. So what does he excel at.

 

I know he's young and can improve but I'm just cant see what he brings for 25 million.

Not disputing his quality, that's up to you.  Just the use of the term journeyman.

 

On the subject of his ability though I've said before in other threads about other players, I find it difficult to be too critical of any individual when they're being managed by an utter plum.  Faes aside.  He makes his own problems.

That, We both totally agree.  Honestly, I hate it when we go and waste a serious amount of money on someone who just hasn't shown us anything yet.

 

At least with Facundo and El Kanoussi you can see they're have Skill and are improving with game time. We haven't seen that from Skipp yet anyway.

We regularly buy £5m players for £25m so the chances are he was going to be rubbish.

I understand that noone gets it right all of the time but we've been pretty poor on signings since Puel left.

I'm starting to wonder whether we had to buy a Spurs player for an inflated figure if we got promoted. Perhaps part of the Madison or Winks deal. I think there is a lot of dodgy transfer stuff going on so clubs can avoid the financial regulations. Skipp, who I quite like by the way, isn't a 25 million pound midfielder. He is good, perhaps worth 14 million. A solid player to have as a backup that you know will put a shift in for you. 

 

I certainly don't think we should be turning on at him.

probably lots of IOU’s with these dodgy PSR transfers. Wouldn’t surprise me if we buy a chelsea player for an inflated figure next summer after they gave us 40m for maresca and kdh.
