Brian Riemer, recently sacked by Anderlecht, has now got the NT coach job (fourth person in charge in less than 6 months). He's come out today and said he won't be changing much. 

 

My guess is that as long as Kasper performs to a high level for Denmark, he's likely to remain first choice. Apart from a couple of years in the early 2010s, Denmark have really just been using three goalkeepers since 1988 (Peter &  Kasper Schmeichel and Thomas Sørensen). Peter and Thomas both overstayed their welcome and I see Kasper doing the same eventually.

How class are these international breaks. Just waltzing about without a care in the world. I reckon domestic teams should meet up just 3-4 times a year and the rest be internationals.

i know that’s a joke but a full season of internationals would be pretty cool. “yeah they’re good, but can they do it on a cold rainy night in iceland”

have i not been paying attention or is this a one off that the internationals are still going on a tuesday? Mad that players are expected to get back on weds or thursday and play on saturday. 

 

I have no idea why players go down their family history to play for a smaller nation that has no hope.  If that’s what you consider your country then fair enough but i think some of them just do it for exposure
