BDCR gets a lot of abuse but providing he's a squad player, I think he has value; with a bit of energy late in games. I think he's a decent player. Whether RVN really rates him is what will matter.

'loan fee was significant'.

GET RUDKIN OUT.

Would a recall invalidate some of the fee? Not 100% on how it works.

As it it us wanting to cancel I expect we wouldn’t get anything back - might even cost us more

From what I read, we can still get loan players from abroad where the cap is six players - is that correct? This still screws us in the domestic market.

Depends how it's structured.

If we paid a lump sum, no, if we're paying in installments every month he's here then maybe?

Either way, there isn't really much incentive on them to recall him unless they want to register him which they won't.

You'd recall a young player that you wanted to gain match experience if he wasn't getting enough game time. You don't recall a guy you were desperate to get off your wage bill.

What is of significance, however, is that the rules state we cannot register more than two loans.

This does mean, unless I'm mistaken, we could deregister Edouard without sending him back and loan another player to register in the squad.

That would be more expense piling up though and if we have to sell to buy already then I can't imagine the board approving that.

We have absolutely f**ked it with Edouard

Because he has played for us and Palace this season he now can’t play for anyone else, so it isn’t even a case of us having to find a new club to take over the loan

We need Palace to want him back or we are stuck with him

Rudkin truly fvcks us in every negotiation possible. We should never of loaned anyone that doesn’t drastically improve our starting 11. We need to just make it worthwhile for palace sending him back with some form of severance even if its a couple of million. Then at least we can loan someone that improves us in a relegation battle.

Everything except Bilal was an absolute cluster **** about this summer.

The absolute opposite of the summer before.

Illustrates how over reliant we are on the manager to dictate transfer philosophy.

We're desperate for a sporting director. At this point I don't even care if Rudkin stays. We can just move him upwards or sideways or whatever else they want to do. Just employ someone to do whay a DOF does at every other ****ing club.

Ayew hasn't turned out to be too bad when used correctly. But it's really clutching at straws.

Buonanotte is a fantastic loan signing but he isn't our player.

Is it not still worth paying his wage at Palace? That extra loan spot could be massive. They don't need to have him in their squad.

Who actually wanted Edouard? seems Cooper didnt want him, just why did we sign him? what for? who? Tom Cannon despite Coopers weird hate of him could have done more and cost nowt.

This sums up the utter incompetence of the football operations at the club. When we re relegated they had better have a top to bottom clear out or the lengthy rebuild process.

So we loaned Luke Thomas out to a PL team last season, and allowed a clause to enable them to terminate it on January. But didn't manage to get one for ourselves when loaning a player this season. Quality negotiation as always.

it does make you just want to throw the towel in when your most senior member of staff is this incompetent. the club's basically built in his image these days, a total mess.

I think its absolutely critical. We wont be buying that many so the loan market could save us from relegation in key positions in the 11 that are lacking.
