For fear of sounding like Rodgers, tips n tricks are great for the fans but how many crosses or shots did he get in today?

He needs to work on end product as that is the hill he will live or die on

Christ he's 16, remember Ronaldo we he first came to United?

His career turned out alright!

Page and Aluko look class to me. Just need the experienced players around them to deliver too and not continue the malaise or lack of motivation they've been complicit in.

I think they both need a little more time, same with Evans to make a impact on the first team.

But we need to give them as many minutes as possible.

I think Aluko is ready to start, I really do. Mainly because of Cifuentes system where the full backs break the lines centrally as the 8's push up and the wingers stay wide. He is the best athlete in this squad (Page also very good in that regard) and I can see him being integral in us hurting opposition.

With the right CB pairing maybe, I just see a fit Ricardo being nailed on a RB.

This is the key part. If Aluko understudies Ricardo, with James on the left, then he is going to get plenty of games. I think Coulibaly is finished with LCFC, or never started!

We have a lot of fullbacks, Ricardo, JJ, Coulibaly, Kristiansen and Thomas.

I'm not sure why we sign Coulibaly, in isolation he was never making a difference in the relegation season other than he was cheap.

Both worth remembering JJ, Ricardo and Thomas as all out of contract at the end of the season.

Massive rebuild in the summer!

I think Kristiansen is going or we would have seen more of him in pre-season, his 'injury' is suspicious. I think Ricardo will run down his contract, but I would offer Thomas and JJ an extension on sensible terms. We could usee this season to find out if Aluko and, possibly, Jayden Joseph can step up, if not then we look for better for next season.

I’m still not sure that Monga has that electric pace which is a very small question mark for me. Which is something that the elite wingers need in modern football.

But yesterday it was pretty damning/a sign of how good he is, considering that he was our only outlet for the majority of the time that he was on the pitch.

Did you hear Marti’s post match comments?

He said about Stephy and Ricardo having specific knocks but almost ignored the question about VK.

I suspect it will depend on what other offers they get, we are going to want them to take pay cuts.

Think it depend on what division we are in.

I suspect it will be the same as Ndidi last summer he had a good look around before resigning.

The thing that is different about Monga is his strength.

The thing I've noticed about young lads coming up from u21's is that they are caught on the ball quite a bit and thats purely down to senior football being much quicker and them not having the amount of time on the ball that they are used to.

You don't notice that with Jeremy because when he is caught in possession, he has the strength to hold his opponents off. Most 16 year old players don't have that.

He's as quick/if not quicker than Mahrez but physically stronger and similar maverick skill set. I'm not concerned he isn't a pace merchant ala Fatawu/Mavididi

Good shout.

Mahrez obviously had a great career but wouldn’t sadly ever (outside of LCFC fans) be labelled as elite and rightly or wrongly, his athleticism was the big reason way IMO.

I’m with you though, Monga and some of the other youngsters are the only reason that I don’t have my pitchforks at the ready.

Got to enjoy this lad whilst he's here because hes going to go on to be something ridiculously special.

We need to play it right so that when he does leave, we get mega money.

He's going to be Man City, Barca & Madrid levels of good.

Yeah dont put pressure on a 16 year old to be a complete player but its ok to compare him with a generational talent like Ronaldo:brendan:

The over rated Portuguese Ronaldo wasn't half the player the Brazilian Ronaldo was

And neither him or Messi are close to the player  maradonna was

Yes I'm looking for a argument

He definitely would be. His numbers are absolutely fantastic at Man City. He's without doubt the best player they've had on that right side in the Pep era. He didn't have amazing pace, no, but he was plenty quick enough and despite being so slight, it never really held him back.

1 important thing to remember won't Monga is that he's only just turned 16. He's got plenty of time to get quicker but importantly he's got great acceleration already which is what his game needs.

We can all agree that Zidane wasn't a patch on Junior Lewis though.

I agree. We desperately need pace & energy at centre back & particularly in midfield. Aluko has really impressed me & provides that in spades, I'm just not sure what position we play him in

Right but there are absolutely loads of players who made their top flight debuts early and were hyped up to be future world class talents. Delfonso, Morrison, Kapustka was deemed a wonderkid after Euro 2016 and was seen as a massive coup for us and he was being approached by top top clubs.

So many players got needlessly hyped by the media and created ridiculous pressure on these talents and it can go in so many different ways if the player doesn’t know how to cope with it or struggles to keep their feet on the ground.

Leicester fans have a right to be excited by these players but it’s getting ridiculous the comparisons being made and talking about Ballon D’ors that I’ve seen within the fanbase.
