I think same thing. Timing is off and they get too close.  I think Stephy likes to cut in last second so  VK doesn’t have room to overlap and if he does the pass is blocked or he’s offside

He was a super useful out ball. slowed play down when required, drifted onto opposites flanks, if you do not see this, do you not see this as valuable?

All the good attacks have came from not getting Ayew involved.  If he gets the ball then it breaks down.

Ayew has been okay so far today

 

Won a couple of good fouls (as you would expect) and had some good touches in the middle but has also slowed us down a couple of times when going forward (was quite funny at the end watching him try and stand up their right back)

 

Needs to come off for Fatawu or Bilal around 55-60 mins

It helps when under pressure for sure. Their defence is quite aggressive and tight,  Ayew is good and stopping them nicking the ball and breaking and wins free kicks instead.

 

Of course, he might be shite second half but was decent at what he can do that first half.
