I'll take your word for it.  I've been there anyway before they moved.

We drew 1-1.

I went Rotherham last season meaning I’ve now seen us play at three different grounds against Rotherham.

I liked Millmoor. Really weird to see it still up.

During League One we did play them but it was in the football league trophy at Don Valley. One of the worse games I’ve ever been too.

Seeing as I am on the train and I have forgotten my headphones. My verdict to all

Arsenal - Best London trip of them given it's the most accessible ground and easy to reach some of the best boozing areas of London.

Aston Villa - Utter tip around the ground but a good day out in Birmingham (I work there - so less of an attraction for me)

Bournemouth - Great for a weekend away. Ground is located in a very naff Boscombe - so it's not the best day out trip.

Brentford - Best of the western London trips for me. Chiswick, drink on the Thames etc.

Brighton - A cracking weekender. You could go to a number of places in Sussex. Wouldn't do it in a day anymore given its out of city location

Chelsea - Decent enough but a desert for decent pubs

Crystal Palace - Think it gets a bad rep and you can have a real good day.

Everton - Both Liverpool grounds are a pain in how far away from the city they are but enjoying visiting. Considering a weekender for this one.

Liverpool - See above. Everton is better on grounds of no tourism. Does score higher now you can actually see the pitch from the away end.

Fulham - It's lovely day and ground but I am yet to be convinced that it's a great away day.

Ipswich - Haven't been in a long time, looking forward to November 2nd.

Manchester City - Better of the Manchester grounds given closer proximity to the city. Enjoy visiting Manchester

Manchester United - Saving grace is the city its nearby cos everything else about it is pants.

Newcastle - A king of away days. Spent two weekends there staying in Tynemouth with family. Beautiful coastline

Nottingham - Would be a contender if you could actually get in a pub.

Southampton - Totally naff. Have considered a weekend down there in the New Forest but as a city, it is terrible.

Tottenham - Worst of the London trips. Worse than Palace to get to and from. Amazing stadium but there's much pleasant around it.

West Ham - Ahhh maybe Spurs isn't the worst! Actually don't mind a trip to West Ham in terms of pubs - Hackney Wick, Bethnal Green etc but worst stadium in the league.

Wolves - Terrible day out. Most unwelcoming place to visit by far.

Wow!  didn't expect to get the full rundown of all those places, that was quite helpful and interesting, thanks CosbehFox

Hated Palace ground and a ball ache to get to on tubes and trains.

As said above Arsenal seems a well thought out ground and everything in place for getting to and from the ground.

Spurs ground - amazing place but Severn Sisters station is a trek.

Brentford takes somme planning to get to

Loved the Plymouth fanzone last year and the fans are some of the nicest and friendliest you could meet.

Neither was Layer Road lol

Your right.  I've just checked.  It was 2007 I went.

Funny how you remember things, dates just blur into one.  But in any case the sentiment remains the same.  I enjoyed seeing these Old grounds before they vanished.

Makes you wonder what people would say about our ground as a day out.

Probably something along the lines of “walkable from the city centre and a decent (but not exceptional) range of places to drink, but ground itself is boring”

You read a lot that fans like our away end.

Nottingham is a great city for a drink so long as they let you in.

Any London away is usually decent, but Bournemouth is cracking for a weekend.

Wolves comfortably the worst on that list.

I generally think though if you want to have a decent away enough you'll always manage it. Ipswich, for example, is somewhere I've never enjoyed previously... but last season it was a belter (regardless of the last minute goal).

You'd be struggling nowadays, the town centre has taken a battering and the nightlife even more so. That 2015 bank holiday down here was great but that was a long time ago now.

Newcastle is the obvious answer, cheap pints, stadium in the city centre, close to the coast.

Once Everton move into their new ground, that’ll go up a notch or two as that’s walking distance from the city centre

A lot of people I know who follow other clubs all like Leicester. The distance to City Centre is the bonus, especially those who come by train.

I imagine the away end is a good view plus we give those with bigger followings more than most teams.

For me, it was a wet windy Hillsborough on a Wednesday night back in the 90’s. A league cup game. We lost 7-1 and it rained the whole game. We got soaked. We celebrated their 7th goal more than they did. Kevin bloody Pressman was in fine form.

Worst ground to visit has to be Wigan, middle of nowhere with nothing around.

Surprised you said that. It’s a 15-20 minute walk into the town centre which is decent enough

Now Bolton - that’s off on a limb

Worst: Going to Charlton Athletic when their Valley Ground was under reconstruction . Making our way past a row of partially demolished terraced houses teetering on a large drop

Charlton was and probably still is one of the most friendly awaydays in London. The nearest pub is I think the Antigallican.

I hate Selhurst Park as the whole area looks dodgy. Last time I went there I drove and parked well away from the ground in a council estate on the other side of the railway. I drove until I found somewhere which looked like a decent residential area. Nearer the ground I felt my car might not still be there after the match.

Spuds have very fickle and ignorant fans who quickly turn against their own team if things are not going well.

Chelsea's old ground was the worst I have ever been to. Away terrace miles away from the pitch, dreadful toilets and herded along like sheep by police on horseback after the match.

Best in terms of stadium and city itself.... so tough.... not many tickets both. I wanna say Brighton, due to you can't beat a day out the seaside away no matter what time of the year. AMEX is an impressive looking stadium, but atmosphere wise it's dreadful. I'm going Newcastle United you know, St James is impressive stadium, ground smack bang in the city, top atmosphere okay city with an awesome night out. Toon number one for me!

Worst... too many... someone mentioned Wigan which won't be far... the stadium ain't the problem. The town of Wigan is bleak and depressing. Plus Wigan even in the top flight could never fill 50% of the stadium. Watford is another , terrible ground and town... and bad memories of that place.

Millwall's New Den was seriously bad last year, it made me wonder what the Old Den must've been like.

The whole ground and area just felt like their fans....S**t

Was a Tuesday night I went so wasn't able to look around, so just on that visit it was terrible.

Oldham's Boundary Park. I went twice in the eighties.

Horrid stadium, dump of a town, always raining (open away end), we often lost and you have to go through Oldam to get there. Thinking about watching us lose 2-0 away to them on a very cold and wet day in December still makes me shudder.

Then they make the audacious move of installing the very early version of a plastic pitch.

I am happy to admit that I have no problem with the fact that while we are planning a trip to Manchester United, they are limbering up to take on Maidenhead United.
