whoareyaaa Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 We need players who give a shit that's why I would be straight in for KDH and also I know its unlikely but try and get Chilwell back unless he thinks he's to good for us. Then a new RB. We have so many individuals we barely play as a team, KDH would add some glue in the fight to stay up.

Realist Guy In The Room Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 We all know how the January window works. The bottom line is, the best case scenario is we get 2 permanent signings and a loan or two (this largely depends on whether we bother to keep Buonanotte). So he really needs to look at that squad and figure out where the biggest impact can be made and chase that accordingly. Personally, I think we desperately need a centre back, defensive midfielder and a wide player. Obviously a lot more positions need replacements but that’s not going to happen. I think Edouard and Buonanotte will go back freeing up loan spaces. Edouard because he’s crap, Buonanotte because him and Bilal are very similar (not to mention Bilal is actually our player). That will give licence to loan in a couple in more urgent areas.

If options are short for him in January he might come back on loan to prove his fitness and use it as a springboard to get a deal out of Chelsea to a Champions League team next summer.

Buonanotte can play on the right in the same team as BEK and is especially needed since we have lost Fatawu, but it would be so Leicester to send our best player back to Brighton and bring in a dud replacement. 1

If he wants an attacking right back like how Justin operated yesterday, then… Joao Mario(Porto) - Martim Fernandes has broken through for Porto this season, seemingly becoming first choice RB, so Joao Mario could possibly be available for buy or loan. Arthur(Bayer Leverkusen) - Very much a bit part player for them, could possibly get him on loan. Tajon Buchanan(Inter) - Ric mentioned him the other day, decent shout tbf, can also play as a winger. Zakaria El Ouahdi(Genk) - Myself and Moore both mentioned him a few weeks back. Arguably been the standout RB in Belgium this season. Pablo Maffeo(Mallorca) - Would probably cost between £10-15 million, but his attacking statistics have been excellent this season. If the idea though is to go with a RB/RCB in a three when in possession, then… Rav Van den Berg(Boro) - Wanted him in the summer, want him even more now. Kevin MacAllister(Union SG) - Been one of the better defenders in Belgium over the past season since moving from Argentina. Would be my cheaper alternative to Van den Berg. Jeremiah St Juste(Sporting) - Ric hates this shout but I can see it potentially happening for a few reasons. Would add pace to the back line, but the red flag is that he’s injury prone. Wingers Seems RVN likes his wingers to chip in with defensive work, the only thing regarding that is you’re not overly spoilt for choice, especially someone of the ilk of Fatawu. Ernest Nuamah(Lyon) - He is probably the closest to Fatawu that I can think of. Needs to improve his decision making, but in terms of pace and work rate, he ticks the boxes. Gabriel Pec(La Galaxy) - After the season he’s had in the MLS, he’ll get many suitors imo. In terms of his G/A numbers, along with his dribbling ability, he also ticks a lot of boxes. His defensive numbers are also solid. Anis Hadj-Moussa(Feyenoord) - His defensive numbers are not as good as the two above, but with how he’s been performing this season, along with the fact he plays in the Eredivisie, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being our number one target. 3 1

This lad I just posted in the random thread is a good shout at right back And if we want someone to maybe move inside as well then the other lad I posted would work Edited 23 December 2024 by Tommy Fresh 1

TheGoldenGod Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 (edited) Not sure if it's been mentioned so sorry in advance...but I'm seriously concerned if the rumours on the grapevine are true that we're sending Facundo back for Ferguson. It makes literally ZERO sense! Can't play 4 strikers, never worked for us in the Champ and won't work now, not a priority in a million years. Edited 23 December 2024 by TheGoldenGod

I just made it up as a hypothetical situation cos some people were saying Buo being out means he could be going back. Have you seen it elsewhere as a genuine rumour then?
enmac Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 Jay Stansfield? Striker but also play RW. Proven in Championship.
JimJams Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 He was a bout 1 in 4 at Champ level wasn't he?

I hadn't seen your message mate I don't believe but I'm just seeing a lot of people saying similar things as an explanation of sorts as to why he's not being picked. Nothing concrete but I just hope it's not true, seems so strange you wouldn't pick one of our star performers so far.
Cropwellfox Posted 24 December 2024 Posted 24 December 2024 (edited) New RB through the door as early as possible. Justin is cooked. He needs a month off to get his head right, just not at the races defensively at all. New CB very quickly afterwards. Concerning if it’s another LCB as that would indicate RVN isnt having Okoli so another £15m spaffed up the wall. Then a more mobile creative CM and a decent Winger who could play on either side Terminate Edouard’s loan if we can, try and get Thomas off the wage bill completely and McAteer out on loan to offset a little bit of wage costs. Lcfcrory Posted 24 December 2024 Posted 24 December 2024 Devyne Rensch from Ajax for right back, 21 and out of contract in the summer 2
Leicesterpool Posted 24 December 2024 Posted 24 December 2024 Louie Barry returned to Villa after a decent loan spell at Stockport. Still young, worth a go maybe? 1

Jam orton Posted 24 December 2024 Posted 24 December 2024 Need to get Harry Souttar back in a back 3. Would be tempted to bring Brendan Cover back as well to play right back
