The next two months are vital. I don't see many points but if we can be competitive in games it might keep heads reasonably high. I do wonder how we'll respond to proper scoreline thumpings which we have somehow avoided so far.

Too close to call right now.

If we sack Cooper this week we will survive all this squad needs is a half decent coach nothing special or nobody special just a real manager.

If we don't sack him we are relegated

Based on our current defensive standards, it's a no from me. Having to keep coming back from one or more goals down to win at least a point, is not an effective recipe for survival.

When Cooper signed his contract, I thought we would be relegated. That stance hasn't changed.

We’re definitely better than Wolves, Palace, Ipswich and Southampton on paper…. But I just don’t have faith on Cooper, with him in charge it will be a real gamble.

I think we are undoubtedly better than Southampton & Ipswich but I don't see who the third team to go down would be other than ourselves.

I can see Wolves & Palace being safe well before closure. Everton will always pick up enough points to stink the league out for another season.

Hope I'm wrong though, of course.

We were better than Wolves and Palace when we went down. On current evidence they're well in the shit.  The only thing I think that puts Palace ahead is that Wolves have a lot of unproven players at this level, much like we did in the defence when we went down.

My current opinion is that it will be Ipswich, Southampton plus 1 other. I think we are firmly in the 1 other camp along with Everton, Palace, Wolves and maybe West Ham. Sadly I think all of those teams have more potential than us and will all stay up so my prediction is we finish 3rd from bottom and all 3 teams that came up....go down

Oh this is a difficult call... we've left minimum 7 points on board. Everton, Ipswich, Palace, and I am failing to recall one or two other matches... forgive, as my mind is just coming off vacation... humble brag... now we wander into a gauntlet... get 4 points in next 5 matches, then I might feel OK for this season... get buried in 4 of 5, then we should have dumped manager 3 matches ago, as I believe I stated... either way, manager isn't right for us. Hopefully we can steal a few and I'm going out on limb and saying 16th is our finish.

Problem is we've had a fairly easy 10 game fixture list, which means we've got a shit load of tougher games coming up. Is 10 enough from the 10 we played? I doubt it. Would have most likely lost today, the sending off saved us from a humiliating defeat. We've been lucky, that's about to end ....

Have we?  We've played 3 of the top 5, 4 of the bottom 5 and 8th, 10th and 12th.  We've had a fairly broad mix of games so far. We've got a nasty 3 matches as a Christmas present, but over stretches we've got a nice looking calendar I think.

The biggest fear I have is that ultimately so far we've had good fixtures. We've only had 1 of our 6 'free hits' (Man City, Lpool and Arsenal home and away), and we've not played Man U, Chelsea or Brighton home or away either.

We haven't looked anything like picking up a 'surprise' result so far really which you obviously need a few of in a successful campaign.

I guess the upshot of that is that most of the games we've played against the shitmunchers (Palace, Ipswich, Southampton) have been away so we have the home games to come. However I feel we haven't been a properly home/away team for years now, it doesn't change my thinking as to how likely we are to get a result.

Man city, Man u, Chelsea, Liverpool? How many of those will we beat? Then you got Brighton, Newcastle and Brentford as well. Definitely tougher than we've faced thus far. Probably only 2 in our next ten we could win.

I think we will go down on the basis that we just concede too many goals. Every single game whenever the opposition get a set piece I think that they’re going to score. Wasn’t any different today.

Then offensively from set pieces we offer very limited threat. Key part of the game nowadays and in both aspects we are severely lacking.

Yet there’s 4/5 teams who have conceded more than us. We’ve only got to be better than 3 of them.
Going forward, we’ve scored at least once in every game, only us and Man City have done that.

This isn’t me saying it’s perfect by any means, but in my eyes, we’ve got the best goalkeeper of all the teams fighting at the bottom, which will ultimately be worth 5-10 points come may, and we’ve got Vardy who we know will score goals give half a sniff every week.

we’ve now played half the teams in the league, after 10 games it’s time to stop talking about who had had the easier run, and the league is starting to set up into how it will go for the rest of the season.

Hopefully you are right. Obviously I want us to stay up but I think we must improve on the aspects I stated. Every game we look like we are going to concede 2/3 minimum goals from set pieces alone.

10 games in and we are where we are. I’d have taken 5 points clear at this stage had it been offered. But I wouldn’t have taken 10 points if offered. Funny how it works.

I think we’ll just stay up. Just.

That's not really true though is it, post Christmas is when you'd be able to say that. Like when everyone has played each other, then you have an idea.

I think we'll go. It's happening again IMO - bad manager not doing quite badly enough to get the chop while in the long run we're playing at a pretty bad level.

Hope I'm wrong but I think it's going to bite us. We've had quite a lot of luck.

Ipswich, Saints, Palace, Wolves all worse than us. West Ham look poor. Everton dodgy af. Fulham no great shakes. Nor Brentford

Palace aren't worse than us. Wolves have been, it's us or them IMO.
