It was entirely predictable that we would pick up some points against poor sides towards the end of the season and then some people convincing themselves he deserves to stay on.

He combines attacking intent with defensive discipline but he’s not really had the players or time to make it work but there are signs, we can’t keep sacking managers every 6 months

Maybe he just needs more time it’s that simple you can’t polish a turd in 2 months and by that I mean him having King and Murphy helping him

a man is sitting at a table and saying i 'm sorry , what ?

That's the level next season so we should be fine right ?

The dynamic will shift, certainly.

You can pretty much guarantee that there'll be 15-19 teams worse than us next season. The problem is the 5-8 teams who are operating on similar levels. How do we pull clear of them? We haven't seen much from him that suggests he can routinely win tight games.

The problem with the championship it’s the relentlessness of the games. They may be shit, but when you’re in a hole and they just keep coming and coming it’s very difficult to get out of the bad habits.

This is one of the maddest things yet said about RvN. It's absolutely nonsense. Its akin to writing that Danny Ward combines excellent positional sense with sharp shot stopping!!!

Similar I'd imagine, well lose a few but and hopefully improve over last seasons singings

Similar? Vardy 26 odd goals in 2 seasons

Mads sold if the right offer comes in

Bilal same

Ndidi release fee

Winks unhappy if RVN stays same with vestergaard

Faes wants out

Soumare out

Victor doesn't want to play in the champ

I don't think its going to be a similar squad at all

Bar Vardy I don't think there is much difference.

Bilal I think we keep.

Jackub will be fine if we lose Mads

Rest can be improved upon and are not committed or bothered anyway.

If anything we will probably have a better team who actually want to be here.

Well if signing players is like all his other managerial abilities theyl be sodding useless! And it's Glover as much as rvn who finds the players and he's had several windows and mostly signed trash.

Did alright with Bilal, Fatawu and Mavididi though

These stats are shit - yes, they had some chances, but we blocked most of them

I presume it’s from the chance where they hit the bar and the goalkeeper presented an open goal

Why?

We lost 7 league games in a row under him, then another 8 league games in a row under him.

Didn’t score at home in which felt like an eternity.

Shit squad selections, how he didn’t realise we needed more pace in the team during those losing runs was baffling.

If he stays, a section of fans would no doubt give him a chance, but a good chunk of the fanbase would also feel incredibly dejected going into the new season.

I meant Ipswich and Southampton will be challenging at the top of the Championship next season, and we've just beaten them.

I don't want a new manager until Rudkin has gone, I would rather keep the devil you know because Rudkin and Top are clueless.

Since they sacked Rodgers, we've had Dean Smith, Maresca, Cooper and RVN.

We're just wasting more and more money on compensation without any direction or long term plan.

It needs to change at the very top first.

They had 2 shots on target. We had 3.

I do think we were the much better team, and am far more excited about our prospects next season with who we have coming through.

I'd like a change, but i would support giving it to Ruud. We've finished the season with some momentum and i think the style we are playing will be just right next year.

Loved Riccy doing the inverted stuff again. We look much better with him on.

Sometimes it isn't just about tactical issues. It's about how you instill a new mentality and motivation. Not to mention experience of handling situations as they develop on and off the pitch.

Look at the difference for us between Gary O'Neil and Vitor Pereira, with pretty much the exact same squad and formation. We always looked so fragile defensively and mentally under GON and teams just walked through us in midfield and we'd collapse and never look like getting back in the game. Now they all fight for every ball and play as a team much better defensively.

Im 50/50, I think its more complex than we know. We had Btendan who took us to new heights only to finish with a team that looked unfit and demotivated. When RVN took us over, I said to my dad it will take a miracle to keep.us up.with what we had, that he would need a team that would run twice the distance of the opposition and use his whole squad, then we would.need a decent Jan window. Nothing came of the Jan window when we were 2 points off wolves, that coupled with we kept conceding within the first 10.minutes of games. I don't think RVN is a good manager,  but we will likely have so many invomings and outgoings next season, the millions it will cost us to get rid and appoint someone else, May be better spent on players, because I'm not sure you need a tactical genius in the championship. I dunno really, just got to have faith in the club

He's absolutely awful. We've got no idea at all how to build.

And I don't just mean that in some wannabe Pep way. Every team has to be able to build, in whatever style. You have to be able to get out, you have to be able to progress the ball. He's got no idea how to coach that. We're an absolute mess.

If an individual doesn't break from the midfield carrying the ball we simply don't progress up the pitch. Thank **** for JJ pulling his socks up today and just ****ing going.

Spot on this.

Yet the sentiment for Ruud in 2025 is “better the devil you know”.

I disliked Cooper but have proper disdain for Ruud, he can’t coach and has shown zero humility/appreciation towards the fans with his fan boy style post match interactions with opposing players.
