I’d have just tried to take them both and see what they say. Would they force your other son to stand outside (well they might)?

Exactly what I'd expect 😆. Probably ban our season tickets too.

I'm about done with the club, they make it as hard as possible to actually like and support them. If I hadn't indoctrinated my kids I think I'd have given up by now.

How would you do that when you don't appear in photos?

Thought that after I'd posted. Might just get the son who missed out to appear. Give him a swift elbow just before so he's crying for it.

yeah do this if your 13 year old isnt going to be too upset by being refused.

tells you exactly what kind of specimens at the club are organising this if they cant sort something out.

They’ll quote the emails and portray you as trouble for trying again.

Where was this advertised? I’ve just checked my emails and I can’t see anything that’s been sent to me about the ballot. My lad is a season ticket holder and Vardy is his hero, so as much as I don’t want to make this about me - I’d like to understand how the club are marketing these events as I didn’t even get the chance to enter him into the bloody ballot.

Its part of the "JV9GOAT" merch they're chucking out. Email went out on Friday i think, was also on the website and remember there was a post on here about it

Interesting. I’ve gone over all my LCFC emails and not a peep. Strange, I might contact the club to see if I’ve got all the correct notifications turned on. Gutted to not even have entered.

Interested to gauge others opinion on this if possible. The club have pissed me off more than usual tonight, there's every chance I'm being unreasonable.

There was a ballot for a certain amount of people to meet Vardy on Thursday to have their photo with him. Doesn't interest me but both of my boys were well up for it. Entered the ballot and one of them got chosen - the other didn't.  Had to put my name down too as a guardian so there's two tickets (I won't be going in any of the photos).

I emailed the club asking if my other son could take my place as I'm not interested in being in a photo. He will have to be with me anyway as I'll be picking him up on the way.

There have been about 10 emails back and forth and they completely refuse to budge, they are only allowed a certain number apparently and won't alter from that. I explained it will be the same number and no extra time as my other son will be in the photo in place of me and I'll purely be there as a guardian. I even told them I'd wait outside if they were worried about too many people in the room. Again just dismissed out of hand.

As I said above I may be being unreasonable but it just seems so bizarre and needlessly antagonising. Interested in your take @RYM

TLDR: The club are c**ts.

Why bother with the emails. Just take both (you said both would be with you anyway) and get them in the pic. No point asking for permission in the modern world, you know what computer says no salaried employees are gonna say

Not sure if you’ve been to these signings of late, but it’s not just club staff, it’s the hired goons that won’t budge an inch

Yep, ticket needed to get in and think we'd be more likely all turned away than let in.

Ah ok. So what’s your other son going to do, wait outside?

God when the only hope is messaging rebekah vardy (which I think is a good idea) it shows how out of touch the club is. Pathetic, yet again

What a shower of shit ! Bad publicity for the club is what is needed. Tell your boys that there is no Father Christmas. Take a picture of them both crying and send it to all media outlets saying that this is the effect LCFC's behaviour has had on them 👍

If you have 2 tickets, just take your 2 lads in.The goons on the front line won't know any different.

There's a link to update your preferences at the bottom of every email

Thanks mate. Everything was turned off; I think it must have happened when they switched to the new look platform because I used to get loads of emails for stuff like this. All opted back in. Though I assume this will be Vardy’s final meet and greet before retiring.

It's very short-sighted of the club not to consider that loads of kids have siblings.

It seems the club are actively trying to lose fans rather than gain or retain them.

Just go and explain at the time and you'll find the people actually doing the session are decent people and will action your request.

Its unfortunately just the office staff saying "computer says no"

Thinking about it, if it’s at the fan store the challenge is getting through the door. Once in the queue the security near Vardy will have no idea who is on the list. With that said, the security are usually pricks and I’ve seen people at every signing in the last year be spoken to/treated like utter shit when they try to bend the rules (asking players to sign shirts, more than one item etc).

Depending who is on the door, it could spell disaster if they actually refuse entry. I wouldn’t want to risk it if it resulted in both children being denied. If the club have made it clear on the requirements, some of them won’t have a heart about no other childcare arrangements - they could very well just say the rules were listed in advance. I don’t agree with it at all, but they seem to be very strict with things like this - especially with Vards. Not sure what to advise, but I know if it were me I wouldn’t want both to miss out, some of these club staff don’t have kids (or a heart/brain).
