I think some people on here need to have a serious think about what they wish for . Does anyone genuinely believe that Top doesn't give a **** about our football club .

He has just personally written off a debt of over 100million....and that's the 2nd time he's done that . You just don't do that for something you don't care about.

He is obviously aware that handing over large sums to spend on players would only lead to big points deductions so his hands are tied on that one .

The mismanagement falls at the feet of Rudkin and his lack of football acumen and I totally agree that he needs to go....and Top certainly has to take the blame for keeping him around for too long .

As for Top being absent playing polo ....well, He has a director of football who's job it is to sort out transfer day ...useless as he is , but I'm sure that Top was available by phone if needed .

Let's just be careful what we wish for .

The club as a business should be self financing its self with turnover, profits , commercial revenue etc . Its not,  because to many big contracts are  being handed out for bang average players, paying overinflated fees  ( skipp to name one ) .Its Tops own doing I'm afraid its been coming for last 3 seasons at least, but hes let Crudskin continue  to fail season after season. Ultimately its all on Top, Vichai wouldnt of let it go down the shitter like this would he !

KP OUT !

Please stop with the " be carful what you wish"  for bullshit it gets annoying .

A debt free club is easier to sell than a debt- ridden one !

I would turn this round and say it is people like yourself who want things to carry on as they are that need to be ‘careful what you wish for’…..

The one thing that would help is some communication.

I agree, something needs to change, whether that be new owners or maybe new investment to give a different voice .

But if the club came out and said:

"We understand there is some uncertainty within the fan base.  There have been some decisions that may have been different in hindsight. This has meant that we had to restrict what was spent in transfer windows."

It wouldn't solve much, but it would how some ownership to mistakes that have been made. But it needs to come from Top, Whelen or Rudkin whispers in the press. Even though we already know its the case.

Agree

Straight information as to why, how and why not would be really helpful.

I thought the new selected/ appointed fan group had got the boards ear?

KP bought the club as interested in UK footie and to help promote the KP brand.(it has)

(In Thailand LCFC are known for KP and RvN, I’m there)

Talk of selling is silly.
Why would or should they? (Future owners would be totally profit oriented, I can already hear the cries)

Top is not his dad, he realises.  I believe they will in time appoint a football based chairman who will req his/her own DOF

JR can still buy horses and there enough work cracking off in KP for him. Water carrying?

The family/ board are a million miles away from the Shipmans

A football clubs P&L is different to a run of the mill business - without checking I'd hang my hat that most football clubs aren't running at a profit, especially premier league clubs which is which all of them have a rich benefactor.

I don't disagree with your point this is on Top and his doing .

I completely disagree about the debt point - debt in business is just a tool used to raise finance quickly and if used correctly with covenants in place is a really good tool to finance growth and actually can make a business much more valuable, more quickly. A debt free club or business makes no bearing on its saleability.

Additionally debt is not taxable.

Reckon I'm done with them for the season, will just sell my tickets or not bother. Might go for one Saturday 3pm game towards end of season for the beers.

It's so stale.

What the beer or the club, likely both...

Most families have personal debt - is that wrong? If everyone worked to your principal then none of us would get mortgages. Its common for business to finance and have debt. Amazon didnt become one of the biggest companies in the world by working on a no debt principal. If raised money to fuel growth. You can be self financing and still have debt.

Thats not to say our owners could have done much, much better. But football is definitely different to your standard business and i dont know many clubs that aren't sat on big piles of debt.

Rudkin understandably takes a lot of criticism but the board are culpable as a whole for severing the relationship with the fanbase. The culture that seems to exist within the club would not go away with a new director of football, however much it may be needed.

📌 Foster Gillett intends to buy #Leicester🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 in the short term. Cristian Medina, to reach #Estudiantes , was promised a jump to Europe in the short/medium term.

▶️ If the acquisition of the Foxes goes through, the former #Boca could end up there

Not sure how reliable this is… and I’m not entirely sure id want Foster Gillett to buy the club. Considering his family’s past with Liverpool

Ryan Reynolds 'considering £300m takeover' of football club after Wrexham success
Unconventional but if he was to buy a club, I'd take him, would make us a bit of a media circus but afaik wrexham fans love them, and they have made a really impressive connection with the fans.
Secondly how the hell are the vancouver whitecaps worth that much? That figure must have been plucked out of thin air.

Remember it’s not a football club up for sale it’s a franchise. The average MlS franchise is valued at 720 million. Buying Whitecaps could then be moved to a major US city without a franchise hence increasing the value. On that basis e00 million is a cheap price.

Yep, great point, completely overlooked it.

Richard Branson plays on his beach all day.

He employs people who know his businesses to run them.

Last people at LCFC that knew about football infrastructure was Pearson and Walsh

Silly talk of KP selling up.

Not so silly to get much needed senior football knowledge in.

I think like in any business you need a reset. Being owned by KP means that we are financially stable. I’m currently in Thailand and now there is no pandemic their business wealth is only going to grow. So our back stop is sound!

What we need is a skilled visionary to work at Chief Executive level  and appoint the right people with footballing knowledge who can navigate their way through the current PSR rules given the tools that we have, for example promote the youth talent to first team, develop them and sell them at a profit whilst building a hungry squad of players.

The problem is, Whelan and Rudkin aren’t going anywhere unless King Power do.

If all that happens is that they get new people in around them, it will ultimately still be the same people setting the direction and making the big decisions. The problems are too deep and too broad across the entire football club to be solved easily.

I’m happy for King Power to stay, but only if the current board are removed and a new day-to-day chairman or COO is found. We need a full reset.

Why? What is their strategy for the short term / medium term / long term? There is no future with them, it’s time for them to sell up.

…because in that instance they would have people in control of the short term / medium term / long term. Top would essentially just become the bank roller.

It’s never going to happen though, there is too much attachment for them to take a step back, so a sale is probably the best of the more likely outcomes.

It would be pretty nuts for ownership change news to break through a random South American transfer rumour!
