£10m - £15m?

We paid I think 7-7.5 million was it from Everton?

Hes done nothing really outside the Championship so in a Jan window could we hope to get 10 million?

Wonder if we will recall if we bin edouard off and don’t sign a forward?

His conversion rate is similar to Daka. Different players but neither are ideal. We need somewhat that can maybe play like Ferminho did at Liverpool.

If we can we’d probably have to in that scenario.

What he has going for him is shooting accuracy. He shoots from everywhere though, so his conversion rate isn’t great for shots / goals. Coached under a lethal striker, who knows!

Can only see us selling if its needed to fund a starting CB/RB in Jan.

If we were to go down with Vardy retiring and Daka leaving (as he clearly wanted to last year,) it obviously leaves us significantly short. Cannon would effectively replace Daka.

Think we will keep him personally.

I think we need to throw everything at staying in this league. If that means selling him to get a starting right back, then so be it. We can figure out the centre forward bit next summer, when we know which league we are in.

Surely not?

I reckon we only break even on him.

His numbers are decent, some Championship players go for silly money.

It depends where he goes really.

We needed to maybe loan him to somewhere like France, so he can score a hatful in a fairly prominent league and enhance his reputation. Similar to what Arsenal did with Balogun.

The Championship standard is higher than most top tier Leagues in my opinion. It doesn’t get the showcase.

And if we are slapped with an embargo the second we are an EFL club again and can’t bring anyone in?

We need to have an eye on both situations. This ‘just think about now and don’t worry about the future’ way of thinking will **** us even more.

I'd have thought the same, but young English goalscorer with several desperate clubs sniffing...certainly think other clubs could make a profit in such circumstances

But they're not PL clubs sniffing around.

I'd be surprised if Sheff Utd stump up £10m+ for him.

We’ll be at war with the EFL either way.

His book value will be around £5m so reckon we would want at least double so it brings in a decent whack of PSR profit.

£5m in profit would enable us to spend up to £20-25m on a player on a 4/5 year contract.

If we can get what we paid it will be a positive swing on the PSR front, we will have 5.6m left on the books from his transfer fee.

I'd snap anyone hand off for anything 7m +

Yep. And even if we stayed up this season and then go down next, it won’t go away. For me I would say just get our house in order, fight it where possible but then ride whatever is left. Kicking the can down the road and making matters worse is going to leave a cloud over the club.

For me, it is striking a balance between not sacking off this season but also making sure any business we do has an eye on next season. Whether that is players who can stay with us or make a quick profit is fine. But not anyone on big wages who we won’t then shift.

Re Cannon, seems no point selling. It won’t be a game changing for funding transfers in. We won’t make a big profit. But if/when we go down, he could be a key player next season. What’s the point selling now for a negligible amount PSR wise, to then have a problem in the summer.

He’s joint 3rd top goal scorer in a terrible stoke squad, he’s still the age that most wonderkids are sat in the development squad still.

He is absolutely worth 15m based on the going rate for top championship strikers these days.

Im torn tbh, because I feel like if he was from our development side and we’d loaned him out to Preston and then stoke, I don’t think anyone would even consider letting him go.

At the end of the day, the club needs to sell to buy these days but something tells me that he will eventually become a top premier league player. That just might take 3/4 seasons.

We messed up the loan really, because we needed to see him in a better side to make a real judgement call. The stoke fans admit that he’s had no service at all. But it’s not like he could play in our side as he wouldn’t get a lot more here.

To who?  If he's worth £15mill it shouldn't be a problem getting a decent offer for him.

He was a strange signing really, huge outlay for someone who was always going to be one for the future. I'd be happy to take the money, anywhere north of £8 million. We can and should be able to attract better as a premier league club.

Overall they are decent but excluding the 4 goal game,  it’s 4 goals in 18 games and all but two have been starts.
