Ok, it's not technically the longest, October is.

But are we going to get any points?  Cup game at QPR, then we have two home games. Chance of points there? Won't be easy, Palace then Fulham. Finished off by an away game against Spurs.

We could struggle to get even two points. I'm going to predict six points, two wins are possible. But I'm deluded...

That was a rollercoaster and a half

A good result against the Rs (given we're at home, why not?) and we've got some confidence to carry into the next couple of games...

This is our do or die month.

Spurs to carry on with their recent poor form, until they play us.....

I don't rate Fulham at all.

There's a hair's breadth between Fulham / Bournemouth / Forest / Brighton   to Palace / Everton / Wolves / Man U

On another note, how the fool do west ham stay up every year? Literally every time I watch them they are being bent over,.pants round ankles and bummed worse than Stuart Lubbock.

You’ve got to be looking at 6 points at home to Palace and Fulham if you’ve any hope of staying up. Fulham are better than a lot of people give them credit for. But also very beatable.

Cooper signed for us and we look absolute dogshite in the pre-season, wasted cash on dodgy signings, Faes still a massive liability early in the season, Fatawu got ruled out for the season, Mads' injury will likely turn into months out, Ward made his devastating cameo return, JJ still shit, and Mavididi proved useless as a starter.

This season has been proper nightmare fuel.

2014-15

We had 14 points in Jan at 21 games.

We signed Rob Huth and the rest is History.

But then we had a team - now apparently a number of individuals that are not good enough for the PL

Win the next 3 (even if the cup game doesn't bring points, it can bring confidence, or shatter it if we lose), or the season is done for me. Palace and Fulham are must win games at home, then after that, nobody knows what could happen against Spurs. They could beat us 5-1 or we could beat them 4-3. They are a very odd side

We also had Mahrez, Wes, Cambiasso and Jamie Vardy about to enter his prime.

I'll forgive 4, but like the thinking. I think any less and we're toast.

One settler for us is that you just know we'll lose at Spurs - think us and Southampton are the only two sides in the league you can nearly certainly say that of. And that tells you something.

I feel like I've already hit rock bottom early. Maybe the relegation season still haunts me?

So, I'm going to with nothing but blind faith believe we will be okay 'in the end'.

Why?

Something good will transpire in the January window and we will strengthen just about in the right areas.

Madds will make a recovery sooner than expected

Our team will some how beat QPR in the cup (Alves scores) and we take that confidence boost into the palace game and win.

Mean while results go badly for our relegation rivals.

After that we can build on those results and get vital more points for safety.

Of course all of this is pure wishful thinking but entirely possible if these players of ours actually believe they can get themselves out of this mess.

We live in hope and in Ruud we have to trust.
