Anyone remember this.  Free kick given to opposition (Everton I think, could be wrong).   Player (Barmby I think, could be wrong) grabs the ball out of Kevin Poole's ( I think) arms as he stands on edge of the box.  Puts the ball down and chips into an empty net.  Goal.

I cant believe that was given

i remember that, i think our player passed the ball to Poole and the ref saw this as us taking the free kick, Poole picked it up so it was a free kick to Everton  which they scored.

We seem to get a rough deal when we play Athletico Madrid.
I went over for the first leg in the 90s and Juninho was diving around all over the place, their penalty was as soft as shite.

The 2nd leg where Remi Harrell? ( I think that was the name of the corrupt ref) sent Parker off but let Kiko get away with elbows all night was just unbelievable, I remember O’Neill was absolutely livid afterwards. We had 3 nailed on penalties turned down and they kicked lumps out of Muzzy Izzet and went unpunished.

We also had a poor ref in the Champions league away leg more recently.

A very good 2nd place behind Mike Reid goes to Remi Harrell, and if you are reading this Remi, you, are an absolute pillock!

Not as high profile as others on here, but living in this part of the world, it still really stings... December 2007, Ipswich away.

Back in the days when both were middling Championship sides and (I was working in Suffolk among them): a good mid-week battle under the lights, and having gone 1-0 down, we'd fought back to 1-1 closing in on half time and it was a good game of football.

Then with Ipswich through in the penalty area, Kisnorbo makes a fantastic tackle down our end to get the ball away - clearly not touching the player.

Ref sends off Kisnorbo, gives Ipswich a pen, and we're 2-1 down at half-time with 10 men. 2nd half a non-event, and we end up losing 3-1. Bloody awful decision that just ruined a good game.

Afterwards, I believe the red card was rescinded as no contact. (And they also subsequently bought in the double jeopardy rule to stop this). Still pissed off today that so bad a decision ruined the game, and was shown to be really bad on review: not that it could make any difference to us!

Sorry for going off script

I know it’s not Leicester, but they played in blue…

Anyone remember this?  Schumacher commits ABH on Battiston and the ref gives a goal kick 😆

Has to Trump Parker and Johnson !

Let’s not forget how one of their players absolutely knobbled Ian Marshall who was causing their defence all kinds of problems and no sending off. Think he stamped on his knee if I’m correct?

Another mind boggling one was Sabitzer not getting sent off , probably would've won the game because we were playing well , small moment that could've saved us from relegation

My memory is a little fuzzy now but I’m sure you are right.

Lets not go too mad, I have seen them given but Muzzy went down very easy for the first two, and then was never going to get the third after that.

Ball hits Big Wes square in the face. Penalty.

Sat in the Kop for that game as my mate is a Liverpool fan who sorted tickets. Those 2 penalties were an absolute disgrace. We scored 2 absolute crackers though.

They were a disgrace in that World Cup, the Austria match was a farce.

Ref broke the golden rule of not giving something you don't see.

Just putting this out there as it's not been mentioned. That free kick for Cardiff being allowed to be taken in the play off semis. It was miles forward from where it should've been taken and resulted in the equalising goal.

Didn't he admit, or got done later as it was proved he had taken a bung?  I am sure I read that somewhere?

Losing away to Ipswich with pitch covered in snow and ice, ref considers the factors - Visibility of lines poor, risk of injury high, flow of ball inconsistent, verdict = must be postponement....then Ipswich Manager Roy Keane comes across and suddenly it's......."Game on".

Was there that game was a farce had to stay in Ipswich overnight too roads were atrocious.

I know this isn’t what the poster asked but a decision that went OUR way which I always thought was terrible was in the 5-3 against Man Utd. Rafael On Vardy.

Yes, that was Clattenburg.  He later admitted he got that one wrong.  He got his own back years later.  We were playing Arsenal at hone dyeing moments Musa got away from his marker and was clearly tripped in the box.  It was a clear penalty.  Clattenburg waved play on.   I think we either lost 1 0 or drew that game 1 1.

Faint memory of something along those lines, admitting some sort of bung or gambling on it.
