Honestly I’ve not followed us since Rogers, sickened by modern football I can’t remember the last time I watched a game, I’ve never seen any of them interviewed and their heads don’t cause me great offence!

Fair enough but I don't quite understand the general dislike for Murphy, not just from you.

I think it’s his holier than thou attitude when actually he’s a bit of a prune, preaches but doesn’t practice and has a demeanour that’s just annoying

Even things like yesterday when i saw a video where players were asked about what they are knowledgeable about away from snooker, murphy said superman and marvel (nerd alert) he went on to say 'and its christopher reeve not reeves'.....thanks dad.

It’s not that so much as his Christian values and was doing horrific things behind his wife’s back, is common knowledge he cheated and has been a a total bell to his family/kids, less well known and not proven or anything but lots of whispers of him having done much, much worse.

Murphy is a lifelong Grange Hill fan like myself so he's ok.with me

Gonna sound like a grumpy sod but why do the crowd laugh out loud during play when the commentators make some lame 'joke'...would they laugh out loud watching on tv?

Its so cringe from both sides. Commentators trying to crack jokes to get a laugh from the crowd. Crowd laughing at the joke over the top to show those not wearing ear pieces they've missed out on some groundbreaking humour

The fake laugh on tv is embarrassing like when they all laugh there heads off on The Weakest Link when Ramesh says something totally unfunny.Amanda Holden must be the worst with that annoying laugh she puts on whenever Alan Carr says something

They do it at Wimbledon as well whenever a player says something it gets fits of laughter

You'd  think the commentators would know when not to crack a " funny" joke, just as a players getting set to take an important shot.

They are all ex pros so should know better.

 

Hoping for a good Wu win but I personally dont getbtge hate for Murphy. Just cos hes no bad boy cockney geezer like our Ronnie.
