Thing is , the only one left with a few years so re sale options?  do we really want to shift all our defenderes ?  id keep Ben but he wants to leave and wont sign a new deal so we are screwed. would you keep Faus ?  He is a better player but also on bigger wages with one year left, and not exactly a fan fav ! Big Harry would be my choice but i fear the club will cash in

Problem is with Okoli until he finds a team that sit deep and let him just defend his value will continue to nosedive, do not think he will do well in League one playing Martins football

Okoli is less than Faes, i agree but we are in 111 million pound hole , and looking like raising about 80 million to plug it.  faes is actually L1 mustard but he is toxic witht he fans so i think we will take 5 million while we can

I actually meant that, in my humble opinion, Faes is a better player than Okoli, as you've said. Was just trying to be amusing with the mathematical signs.

 

I also think it would not be hard for Faes to make it better with the fans. A very very easy PR exercise, in truth.

yes so " Okoli is less than Faes"  i got that !!   Maybe , he was never as bad as folk said.  but also i think the other factor is taking money while we can

The problem for okoli is that he’s simply not a ball playing cb. He wasn’t a fit when we signed him, even less so with Martin. 
 

he had a chance with someone like Rowett but I just don’t see him ever fitting what Martin will want from him so j really don’t think the level of opposition will matter. He’s still going to needlessly give the ball away, just likely in even worse areas

Pass completion is 83% really not that bad, he made a few bad errors but which player didn't

Only reason I come onto this forum is to check whether Okoli has been seen at an airport, in another location, or some tenuous X rumour, in the hope… that we loan him somewhere at our cost.

The problem is, once it becomes trendy to hate specific players, about 90% of foxestalk jump on it and anyone who has a different opinion to them is an idiot. 
 

Then every single time that player does something wrong they are straight on here bumping the threads back to the top to talk about how shit they are.

 

You get the same with Luke Thomas, he’s no world class LB but he gets a lot of unwarranted hate. Any good they do is brushed aside as lucky or a one off etc and any bad they do is spoken about for years on end.

Can't just use stats though, just watching him you can see how much of a bomb scare he is on the ball

 

Stats wise Ayew looks like he was absolutely class for us last season - we all know how much of a donkey he actually was

Okoli is pants, especially considering the price and wages he’s had. He shon at Atalanta very briefly in a back 3 and Cooper panic purchased him. 
 

Faes we all know is a complete w*nk*r.

 

Hamza is well disliked by many for good reasons, not because it’s trendy. 
 

LT hasn’t bulked up for years now and it’s beyond comical watching him get done at the back post or out muscled anywhere else on the pitch. 
 

Stiffy has been awful since late 2023 and is rightly called out time and time again for not taking on his man or getting a cross across the box , not because it’s trendy. 
 

Do I go on, Daka? Ayew? All well deserving of comments on what is an online forum.
