Re Ings, he just doesn’t get us back on track. Another player at the end of his career, injury prone and will see us as a lucrative last contract. I just can’t bare to see any more of these types of signings come through the door. 7
davieG Posted 5 June 2025 Posted 5 June 2025 Who's going? https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-citys-new-reality-means-10238374 In the past week, Ricardo Pereira’s agent has said the right-back’s plan is to find a “more attractive project”, Caleb Okoli’s representatives have reportedly been pushing to get him a move back to Serie A, and Jordan Ayew has said he could leave. That’s not even considering the players who City likely have to sell for the revenue they will bring in, like Mads Hermansen and Bilal El Khannouss, and others who have been linked away, like Wout Faes, Jannik Vestergaard, Boubakary Soumare, and Wilfred Ndidi.

My money is on us doing a Luton. 1

Edit: Just seen his thread. Interesting! Although him being a starter has exasperated me this season, he's done okay all things considered, and would likely be useful in the Championship if used as sub/experienced head. However, if we could get him off the books that would be some good business I think. Edited 5 June 2025 by CloudFox

There was an interview with him were he suggest it's possible but that he's happy here. https://sportwitness.co.uk/you-cant-decide-too-early-leicester-city-star-speaks-about-potential-exit-reveals-he-is-happy-at-king-power/ “You can’t decide too early” – Leicester City star speaks about potential exit, reveals he is happy at King Power By Kaustubh Pandey - 4th June 2025 SHARE Leicester City had a troubling 2024/25 season but Jordan Ayew was one of the brighter lights during a frustrating campaign. The versatile forward scored six times in all competitions and played across the frontline for the Foxes, contributing in both the decisive wins over Southampton. The Ghana international’s current contract at Leicester City runs out in the summer of 2026 and he’s now spoken to Diretta about his future at the club. In a chat with the outlet, he made it clear that he is happy at the Foxes and is in no rush to make a decision. “I still have a year left on my contract and I have to go on holiday, then we’ll see what happens. “When you get to this level, you can’t decide too early because staying is an option and leaving is an option, but I’m happy there.” The 33-year-old also went on to state that he wants to play at a club where he enjoys playing football. “I just want to play football and have fun because that’s what makes me happy.” Ayew is a well-established Premier League player and has featured in over 300 games for four different clubs, and he could be a valuable asset for Leicester City in the Championship. That’s why keeping the Ghanaian may be on the cards for the Midlands side, who would be aiming to return to the Premier League after a season in the second division. An experienced veteran like Ayew can definitely help in achieving that. 1
Stadt Posted 5 June 2025 Posted 5 June 2025 If we shift two or three of Coady, Vestergaard, Faes and okoli we probably need another CB. Reims went down so resigning Kipre wouldn't be the worst move, only has two years remaining. Would probably be happy being 3rd choice. https://fbref.com/en/players/9f30e7ed/Cedric-Kipre
Stadt Posted 5 June 2025 Posted 5 June 2025 (edited) Another Reims player, 20 year old DM that looks excellent defensively and reasonable in possession https://fbref.com/en/players/2eb1ec07/Amadou-Kone Relegated St Etienne this time and his name sounds like a fake bag you might purchase on the Costa Del Sol but this is a cracking profile https://fbref.com/en/players/c37823fe/Louis-Mouton 6'2 as well and we need some height as well lose Ndidi. Kone is linked with bigger clubs I think 2
LVFox Posted 5 June 2025 Posted 5 June 2025 Pretty confident we could get both Agyemang and Richard Kone for about £12m, and with the profiles they have, any success for either of those sees them go for £25m+

Scotch Posted 6 June 2025 Posted 6 June 2025 I wonder if the boat has already sailed to sign Lennon Miller. Apparently would cost about 7m to sign, plenty of competition around Europe and a risk for an 18 year old but looks to have a very bright career and has already been in the Scotland squad at 18 in our strongest area of the pitch.

scinnell Posted 6 June 2025 Posted 6 June 2025 Prioritise trimming the squad, strengthen central midfield with a ST and get rid of two of the three clowns at the back - it looks like Faes and Coady now.
foxfanazer Posted 6 June 2025 Posted 6 June 2025 Not a priority by any means but surprised to see Norwich have released Angus Gunn. Was probably goalkeeper of the season the year we went up. Potential backup to Jakub
SafewayFox Posted 7 June 2025 Posted 7 June 2025 I’ve said it before and will say it again….Ferguson on loan from Brighton makes too much sense to me. 1) Brighton fans loved him when he broke in the team but injuries/change of managers has seen him fall down the pecking order. 2) He’s only 20 and a drop down the divisions getting regular minutes actually would be beneficial for both clubs.
foxfanazer Posted 7 June 2025 Posted 7 June 2025 Well we're almost certainly signing Craig Dawson aren't we? 1

I’d have thought we’d be a way down the pecking order. Would the promoted clubs be in for him? Even out of the relegated 3, Ipswich with Delap having done and Southampton being so close on the south coast both seem more likely attractive options for him. Would be a good option if it could happen though.

Was thinking the same. If, as broadly reported we have a very limited budget, we have to focus on a striker. The two key positions in a football team are goalkeeper and striker. We’re well set for the former but we have to invest most of what we have in a reliable goal scorer - focus on getting two forwards. I’d then look at a CM depending on who leaves (we can be confident Soumare goes), although if we have Choudhury, Alves, Winks, Skipp, McAteer (hopefully Fatawu owns the RW position) and Monga in an advanced role, that might well enough.

Sign Mepham and Darling as free agents and it’ll leave you Mepham, Darling, Okoli, Nelson & Souttar Instant improvement for no cost, sadly I can’t see Vesty leaving.
