Ric Flair Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Corica was amazing, but I reckon Wesolowski will be better.
leicesterboys Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Wesolowski will be wen is he back from injury?
breadandcheese Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 David Oldfield. I would cast my vote for him. Not just the odd goal but provided comedy too.
l444ry Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Corica was amazing, but I reckon Wesolowski will be better. None of them. Skippy Oldfield.
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Best Captain we have "ever" had, I don't remember Weso ever being captain.
john_lcfc Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Best Captain we have "ever" had, I don't remember Weso ever being captain. not captain Manwell -Aussie
Bert Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Best Captain we have "ever" had, I don't remember Weso ever being captain. Aussies are known as Skippys!! Because of Kangaroos!! I think in future it will be Weso, but it's gotta be Oldfield hasnt it?
Ric Flair Posted 20 December 2005 Author Posted 20 December 2005 Oldfield was shocking whenever I watched him, I have only been following City since 1990/91 though so perhaps the love affair with the fans happened in the late 80's?
whothefoxthat Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 I liked Steve Corica, good player, didn't he go to Wolves from us then disappeared into oblivion !
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 not captain Manwell -Aussie Sorry... I think I need my Christmas break from work.
Head Honcho Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Corica was amazing, but I reckon Wesolowski will be better. It must be me because enough people on here sing Corica's praises, but I can't really say he impressed me that much. I know he scored a couple of good goals but most of what he did when he played for us wasn't what you'd call memorable. But what do I know we made nearly 800k on him so he must have shown something!
werestandingup_weresittingdown Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Ol' david oldfield definitely gets my vote!! many memories courtesy of the one and only skippy!! anyone else remember a blinder he scored from way out, bristol city away i think. i was there in the away end, night game, sure it was bristol?!! anyone else recall??? decent player i reckon. sylla's not fit to lace his boots!

I recall the goal, it was at ashton gate
Thracian Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Corica was amazing, but I reckon Wesolowski will be better. Still turning out in A-grade football for Sydney FC, apparently as skipper according to the City official website. And cracking a goal or two according to Gary Silke.

Oldfield only joined when you started watching bud. Opinions were always varied on the lad. Birrof a poof, some thought
Guest Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Birrof a poof, some thought Indeed. Not the most gifted, but great comedy value. Daisy, as we knew him, minced rather than ran. I wasn't at the Bristol City match, but I was there when he scored a stunner in the Filbert Street goal against Everton in the ZDS Cup. Being near Bonfire Night, I did enquire as to whether he had a rocket up his backside!
Gené and Tonic Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Kalac, he plays for AC Milan you know!

Katy Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Bloody loved Oldfield (or fur boots as my Dad named him) I even sent my mum down the club shop to put Oldfield 7 on the back of my shirt but they had run out of 7's so just ended up with Oldfield, I still have the shirt now DAVID OLDFIELD - THE ORIGINAL AND BEST
dhermon Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Theres only 1 true skippy http://www.memorabletv.com/skippy.htm .......... ............
Nationwider Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 Does anyone still have their David Oldfield voodoo doll? I do. I give it the odd stab now and again, just for old time's sake. He was the original Gareth Wiiliams. A talented player, born with the lazy, annoying, infuriating gene.
