Fvck Israel.

Fvck Israel up the arse.

You can whine about the atrocities committed by a group - that doesn't mitigate the genocide committed by the nation vying to obliterate a nation or the thousands of tons of bombs landed on women and children.

"Oh but something about the non recognition of the Israeli state"

No. Go back. Sit down. Shut the fvck up.

Let's try again to see if you get it from first principles...

Why? Whatever side of the political spectrum you sit the job of an effective MP is long times spent away from your family, and long hours of slog. It's not clocking in at 8am, 30 mins lunch then clock off at 5pm.

My point is for the hours you put in, what you get back is average - which is why we have a load of average people in politics.

utter and complete bullshit.

You dont get better by paying more... have a look at CEO's and Teachers

We have average people in politics because corrupt rich folk own them and dont give two fvcks about people, just about profits.

i don’t really think this should be debated on here because no one knows what happened.   When there is eventually a full enquiry in Israel all the facts will come out. (I guess probs not till post netenyahu) . The IDF have previously confirmed  killing around a dozen civilians in kibbutz be’eri when shelling a building holding terrorist infiltrators who were holding  captives. It’s not clear whether this was as a result of Hannibal or just poor coms in a stressful environment.

Gallant confirmed in an interview last week that the directive had been issued in some instances on that day.  He didn’t say where and he didn’t say when.  Everything else is pure conjecture.   Gallant also has an agenda which may explain his actions.

as mentioned so many times over the past 18 months, whilst a war is ongoing, there’s pretty much no information out of the middle east that’s trustworthy, irrespective of where it comes from.

Unfortunately with war, the history tends to be written by the victor.

So much gets swept under the carpet I’d imagine.

Both sides of this conflict have blood on their hands. It’s just a domino effect of tragedies, that will continue this way until one is wiped out. They literally seem unable to co-exist.

The concern is, that we are starting to see other demographics come into conflict with each other, as the world becomes a much smaller place.

Didn't expect you to agree as you think no business should make a profit nor anyone make a decent wage and nobody pays enough tax lol

Demands? Not in all cases. Don't romanticise the idea of hard working constituency MPs. Many are utterly workshy and essentially redundant. Take the Reform mob, Truss or by all local accounts Badenoch as recent examples. (I'm sure not all waste of space MPs are from the right, just more seem to come to straight to mind)

By definition it should be really demanding is what I mean, of course there will be work shy MPs - and some wrong uns too  - sorry to quote a daily mail article but the BBC can’t manage to report on it properly because there’s a few naughty words.

Sadly, those people have huge governmental influence, in all countries.

Unfortunately, and I've diligently looked into this, Australia has no jurisdiction in Kettering, despite the 1925 Barton Seagrave Vegemite Riots.

Mandelson:  "[We do] not necessarily agree with every detail of Trump's agenda, but....We have to respect and understand what drives him, what his mandate is to do, and how his allies need to adjust sometimes."

Trump: "Yeah, we're going to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians and stage an administrative coup d'etat, and that's just the start."

Someone arrange for a spinaplasty for the UKs new ambassador, please.

While it is depressing, he is correct.  When we are trying to save our steel industry by avoiding his stupid tariffs, it makes no sense to argue publicly with his stupid ideas.  They are never going to happen anyway.

I keep hearing this and I honestly don't know where the confidence in it is coming from given what's already happened.

The man has learned from his first term about getting his agenda implemented, that's very apparent.

Not forgetting rebuilding the infrastructure which Trump seemingly has offered to do.

https://www.jewishnews.co.uk/lord-mandleson-says-overwhelming-majority-in-labour-have-unwavering-support-for-israel/

Mandelson spoke of his struggle with the “ultra left militants” inside and outside Labour who argued for opposition to Zionism.

He said: “In the 1980’s I became increasingly aware of the need to defend Labour’s support for Israel from ultra left militants and forces both inside the Labour party and outside. Those who had climbed on and who were pushing the ‘Zionism is racism’ bandwagon that had initially been created by the United Nations General Assembly.”

Describing the late Yitzhak Rabin as “my hero” and a “great diplomat and peacemaker” before he was assassinated, Mandelson said he was “thrilled” to visit the museum in his name on a recent visit to Israel.

He said that throughout all the wars, and incursions into the Jewish state “I had an unwavering belief in Israel’s right to exist, as so many of us, the overwhelming majority do in the Labour Party.”

He also poured scorn on those who sought to ignore the horrors of the Hamas terror attack in Israel concentrating only instead on what happened as Israel responded to the massacre on October 7.

The peer spoke also of his father Tony, someone who, despite being Jewish, was a “militant atheist” up until “Israel ever attacked, at which point he would jump up out of his seat as he did in 1967 and again in 1973.”

And I can't see why anyone would see it happening. The mindset of the man and his backers is obvious.

Bingo.

Destruction is profitable when you're selling the tools to both destroy and rebuild.

Tbh though Gaza is an issue and the current hot button issue and so what he says about it is relevant, it's not even the biggest bone of contention that the UK should be engaging the US on.

Do the Tories not like the idea as it’s in Labours hands now ?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c07kr4gr1dmo

The Tories only ever suggested it in the first place to appeal to white working class voters. It was just populism, it's a fluff bit of policy that would never have actually done anything but the Tories get to pander to salt of the earth football fans.

If a Labour government actually brought in a regulator designed to protect fans and clubs from billionaire owners there's a danger they might actually do something the billionaires don't like (which is hilarious while New Labour 2.0 is in power let's be honest.)

Badenoch can't be having that.

"When I speak to people in the industry, they don't think it's going to work. So why are we doing it?"

Of course they would as they don't want it. Wonder if she spoke to any fans?

She doesn't have ideas of her own, so she will just say the opposite to whatever the government do or says, but does it poorly. She wastes questions at PMQ's, says nothing of any merit and jumps on what Reform say basically and tries to play it off as her own. Absolutely no substance to her politically.  She will be one of the notes in history as part of the breaking of the Conservative party I think.  The whole party will crack at some point, and Reform will be waiting in the wings to try and snap some of them up.
