I ain't a glory boy but the way the club is being run is totally destroying my reasons for travelling so far, spending so much money and losing interest...not a dig at top but  this would never have happened on vichais watch...God bless him

I live outside of west London. It's hard but at the end of the day it's my choice so I can't blame anyone but me.

Over the years I can't really get away tickets so always had to use work contacts to get away tickets in London. We normally get pumped. It's a pain the arse but I'm certain I'll keep doing it !!

Saltaire is mint I can't lie.

But let's be honest pal, you're still living in Bradford.

If you said it's technically a BD postcode but you're really in Ilkley I'd be like, fair play mun. But Salt is Badford lol

Mrs and me sth,  Norfolk, 7 hr round trip

But my god, after the last 3 or 4 years it's getting harder to motivate to do it. Love the club and used to go and get the autographs of Wallington, may, smith, jock Wallace etc at Belvoir drive, the club has been everything for about 50 years, but sadly I've never felt so disconnected

London. Used to drive from Sydenham, which was horrendous. Sometimes 2 hours to get to the M1. Now just off Finchley Road so hit the motorway in about 15 mins.
I think this will be my last season as a STH. I’m so torn as I have an amazing seat with no one behind me aside from hospitality. The row behind me costs £2300 more than I pay per season. It’s the amount of rearranged/midweek/tv fixtures that are the killer though. Trains are often screwed up or finish early and if I want a pint it means staying over at extra cost. Not sure I can justify it anymore, especially as I have a 2 year old. Hats off to people coming from Scotland, Devon and Cornwall, etc.,

This is beyond crackers!

No wonder the roads are clogged.

I’m now 50 mins away so I now go to watch my new local club instead, I can highly recommend knocking the travelling on its head.

I was home by 5.10pm today and I didn’t leave at 80 mins!

Kent, usually park at the Holiday in. Can take 3-4 hours to get there and usually 5 hours to get home as it takes ages to get out of the city.

Huge selection effect in a play in this thread (and FT generally) obviously but I do feel we have a disproportionate amount of fans that live elsewhere - e.g out of Leicestershire and its hinterlands.

Something about being a large-ish county in the middle of the country without fantastic employment opportunities seems to disperse us.

600 mile round trip and season ticket holder for the last 10 years,.

How do you travel? Train, car or flight? It's a hefty drive. I've done it a few times over the past year and a half for work. Takes me around 6 hours from Nottingham.

Season Ticket holder and Travel up from  Leighton Buzzard with my son and sometimes pick my Father in Law up en route from Rushden or my other son in Market Harborough when he can’t make it. Been going  since the late 70’s.

Aye. I believe the East Midlands is the second lowest paid region in England with the north-east being the lowest paid.

I was expecting a lot more to be closer then most of you crazy lot, some of the distances are madness, as for me I almost live on the Door step, I could watch the 12:30 game at home, make it to the game, stay till the end and make it back home for the 17:30 game

You’re definitely on to something with this. I found employment prospects are generally poorer in the East Midlands compared to other regions and big cities. Being bang in the middle of the country also allows us to move to a huge amount of the country and still be close enough to get back regularly.

I used to travel from Huddersfield. The train links were terrible. It was only two trains but the train from Huddersfield to Sheffield would take an hour and a half because it would stop at everyone's front door. I'd always drive.

Hinckley,

Christ, absolute fair play to some (well all) that are coming from so far away!

I used to sit near a guy that came from the isle of white for every game. Night games had to stop in Southampton to get the ferry back in the morning!

Might be different bloke but there can’t be that many that travel from Isle of White but I met him at Plymouth away last season and couldn’t believe anyone was mad enough to do that journey for every home game. Coming from Braunstone is bad enough and I really can’t be arsed at the minute.
