I think people will be surprised the amount of dross we will be linked with. Who in their right mind would work under the current structure unless they need a decent pay packet.

Really don’t understand people turning their noses up at Dyche.

I reckon Dyche would be the one turning his nose up at us.

The only criteria should be to appoint a manager that has a playing style that can survive in the Premiership with the youth players we have.

If we go down, the only way we come back up and survive is if we find Prem quality Youth players in our academy. The days of buying survival are gone.

Therefore, we need a manager who can give us a style throughout the club. I'd imagine Ruud is a better prospect than Cooper for that. I'd also imagine that he can follow the work Maresca did.

Can we judge Ruud yet? He has purchased one player in his time here. I don't agree with his starting line ups but they at least give him options on the bench to try and change a game. We all want our better attacking players on the pitch from the start but we get cut to ribbons with them on. The problem is and remains our entire defence. That can't be fixed without a transfer window when funds are available.

If Ruud is better for the entire club (which I suspect he is with no tangible evidence) I think you stick. He understands the modern style.

That was before he catastrophically failed in the PL with Southampton. As useless as our owners have been in recent years, I can’t see them choosing somebody who has emphatically proven that he cannot manage a club of a similar size in the PL.

Oh, just you wait…

I hope not.

I get the Enzo appreciation.... but let's remember the 2nd half of last season wasn't great and we only just made it over the line ... if we had had to go into the play offs  ... I think we would have struggled

Definitely. Our downturn began last season.

Situationally Dyche is likely the best available option if we seriously want to try and stay up.

However the addition of Andy King to the coaching team is curious, almost like we have some kind of transition plan, but that clearly cannot be the case.

Do you think that there's any possibility we can stay up? Genuinely interested to see if anyone thinks we can. This is why I don't blame RVN, whilst i don't think he's the best manager, he was always on to a hiding, we needed players in January and RVN knows it.

No chance at all of staying up,  the players have thrown the towel in & most of them don't want to be here. In fact I have thought this since the beginning of the season. I went to Lens for the pre-season friendly & was staggered by how bad & dis-organised we  were, it was like watching under 10's having a kickabout on the reccy. The warning signs were all there then

Most of us are 75% Brussell at the end of the festive period each year so the club will think they're being popular and clever by appointing Martin. It's definitely happening in 2025.

Yes I saw all the pre season games, what was weird was when Golding played, I thought he looked decent, some fella on twitter reckons he’s not been turning up to training

There is a chance, but it's just incredibly unlikely if nothing changes within the club. You are more forgiving than me as I do blame RVN, but others are also culpable.

Where do you think RVN has gone wrong?

Needed to try something new, maybe two up top, maybe flooding midfield more, I think after continued failures with the same or similar tactics, it warranted try something else.

Lets me be clear though, he really has not been helped by the club (assumed) or by the players (evidentially).
