- I’ve used NFC most of this season as I’ve relocated most games. But look at the QPR game purely as an example. Bar Tranmere, the lowest attendance at home this season and the queues were bigger than any other game this season - coincidentally all mobile tickets.

- I’m also not keen on selling tickets back to the club, would much rather hand it over to someone for free who might not be able to regularly go or something like that, and with digital it’s not going to be easy to do that, so if I can’t go for whatever reason, the seat will just end up empty.

In terms of the QPR game, the problem was many fans who are not regulars being unaware of the process - the club has acknowledged that there needs to be additional comms for this type of fixture.

The FAB are working with the club on a Donate option (a brief mention of this was included in the FAB fan rep statement)

My mate is the same, shares a ticket as they both live away.

Where is this wallet? Do you log into your LCFC account or the app and the ticket appears? If that's the process, sharing log in details, shares the tickets?

The Trust was lobbying for the amount of permitted transfers to be higher than 5 last summer, if your mate would like to e-mail [email protected] we would like to discuss this further with them

This rule is fine if all games are at there initially scheduled time. Anything moved from Saturday 3pm (or set time) and isn't able to be attended shouldn't be counted

I'm sure the club will get round that by saying the fixtures are 'subject to change'

I don't like it, but it's strange enforcing this when the club makes more money on the resale, than a new season ticket holder.

80% (15.2) is 15 home games. As I said elsewhere - the TV fixtures tend to be really tricky for STH who travel from other cities to attend matches.

I'm close to the 80% this year if it was the case by the end of the year. Usually I only miss matches if I'm not in the country, or similar reason.

A mix of awful football, midweek/night match changes, a toddler and a 200 mile round trip. Also my dad's health (who's got a disability ticket) so he just cannot do night matches. I'll be missing the Newcastle match now its changed, as it's my 40th.

Why do you use language that sounds so corporate? You really do sound like an arm of LCFC customer service. That’s not a good look for a group representing the fans.

Did you help the club draft this monstrosity too,

Is it possible to have two tickets on one phone? If I open both emails with original season ticket on my phone can I download both? 5 games transferred from my wife to my son isn’t enough to make it worthwhile continuing as she’s lost interest more than me which is some going!

The sooner this lot in charge get a sharp jolt of reality biting, the better.
I never thought I’d be able to turn my back and not go to every game, but I’ve been to less than 10 in 5 years. I don’t miss the sterile ‘matchday experience’ that these con artists think is 5 star rated.
Call me a miserable old git but I’m done, not a chance will I buy a digital ticket, a membership or pay good money to watch any team while Rudkin, Whelan and the current owner remain at the club.

Yes you can have as many tickets as you want on one phone, you can also move individual games. This is especially true if the others are in your friends and families list.

The problem is it's not just lcfc it is football in general. KP are just towing and being good little boys and girls.

I do wonder how much backlash they will get as we know how many paid the £25 tax last season so will all those that paid just bend over this season?? I feel for a lot of fans that aren't tech savvy that are just going to have to put up with it to watch their team play.

It really depends on the percentage of the physical ticket holders who are over 65. I guess it is quite high which is why they are being given the choice. I’m sure there will be some under 65’s though who simply won’t be able to keep going.

Serious question and I'm probably being a bit of an idiot here, but why is there a limit of 5 times a season when you can transfer your digital season ticket?

Surely you've paid your money so its up to you what you do with it?

Just seems weird to me.  For instance I'm a Bristol City season holder and I can transfer as many times as I like......not that anyone would want my ticket when I can't go!

Apologies if that isn't the rule and I've misinterpreted things.

Jo Lee, on behalf of the fan representatives on the Fans Advisory Board, said: “While we know things on the pitch have been disappointing this season, behind the scenes we have been working with the club to ensure fans’ experience at Leicester City beyond the football itself is improved, and that the Club understands what fans want and need from them. So, we’re pleased that for next season the club will be implementing safe standing in a number of areas around the ground, giving fans more choice and helping to improve the atmosphere at games. We’re also pleased the club has decided to freeze season ticket prices again and has confirmed that match day ticket prices won’t increase - we will continue to consult with the club on what match day prices might look like, depending on which league we are playing in next season.

“We’ve spent a lot of time talking with both the Club and other fans about digital ticketing. We know digital tickets are not popular with all fans, particularly season ticket holders, but have also heard evidence about the safety improvements that digital ticketing offers, and are aware that that Premier League is setting out requirements for all clubs around digital ticketing which the club will have to follow if it remains in, or returns to, the Premier League. We know the way digital season tickets were implemented last year did not go well, and many fans were unhappy as a result. So, we have worked with the Club to ensure there will be exemptions in place for those who cannot use digital tickets, and that there will be no additional charge for anyone using a non-digital ticket. We are also continuing to work with the club to make it easier for season ticket holders to transfer, resell or donate their tickets when they can’t attend to minimise empty seats at games.

“The Club has clearly welcomed and listened to all the input that we and other fans have made about these issues through the fan engagement framework, and we are confident they will continue to work in this way with us, as fans, for the benefit of all our supporters.”

Honestly this does feel a bit of a let down.

It reads as if all is forgiven and forgotten of how they handled the £25 card fiasco, the "charity" donation and ridiculous ticketing prices because they've frozen ST prices in a season we're going to be relegated, following another year of mismanagement. In a season where our games have been bounced pillar to post with kick off times

We also keep seeing the "safety improvements", of the club knowing who is in the ground. Have we seen any evidence of that or any support of it?

The last sentence is a real kicker, the club clearly haven't listened otherwise digital ticketing would be another staggered approach this year and not full roll out.

Go on then lets here it . Why is it safer to have a digital ticket ? Just because you know who has it . Does that mean it's safer . how ?

Last year they used the example of the trouble at Forest as fig leaf to role it out at home games - in corporate jargon.

Yes, I have had 4 at one time.  Google wallet just saves them.

So, we receive an email instead of a card and download each ticket into a wallet on your phone? What wallet?

If people share a ticket can you share the email?

An, what happens if you change phone mid season?

You only need to download the season ticket once. It then updates with the next fixture details at the end of the current fixture. This happens automatically.

Details will be stored on your payment app on your phone (Google Wallet, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, etc...whatever you use to pay via phone).

You wouldn't need to share the email. It would be done via official channels of ticket sharing to friends or selling scheme, or via unofficial channels of screenshotted QR codes (until that functionality is removed). For people who regularly share, a cheapish NFC capable phone is probably the way to go.

Upgraded my phone in Sept and it copied across with the transfer.

Cheers. I don't pay by phone, so I'd need to set up that feature.
My mate shares a ticket so, I wondered if they could both have the email and then download the ticket into a wallet as they want a ticket. If that's not an option, I think they are planning a spare phone operation as they exceed the official way of sharing to friends scheme.

Think you'd have to go a "burner" route which seems a proper ballache, but the plus is that I think you're protected against QR changes or anything then. I don't think any of the potential changes would prevent a burner phone option working. If you get enough years out of it it might even end up "cheaper" than the £25 a year card at least!

I did mention that lol If it doesn't need a specific level of software, just NFC, you can pick one up for a fiver!

If anyone can be arsed to renew (think I'm going to re-locate if I do, due to the poorly thought out safe standing areas), we should all wait till the last day and make the club sweat a bit.

Didn’t they get a slow uptake years ago in the Sven era as some STH received a pre recorded message by phone from Sven about renewing?

If they ever brought in this malarkey of attending 80% or whatever of games to retain your ST they can do one, to do that they need to promise all games will be played Saturday at 3pm before the season starts.

Sunday 7pm is a piss take.
