It’s ugly. He had plenty of opportunities to change it at Burnley but didn’t, same goes for Everton. Kompany got Burnley playing a totally different way instantly.

So if the rumours are true we are looking at someone with no previous experience domestically of coaching but worked with the under 21s. A manager with a worse premier league record than Ruud and a guy who was a top player but hasn’t even done 1 season domestically as a manager. 
Absolutely baffling but not surprising. 

Please go and look at some available experienced managers.

No idea why... I just feel he has something about him. Next sort of Thomas Frank.

I'd be wary of Plymouth managers.  Some seem to show promise like Lowe and Schumacher before moving on and not doing a lot

Why don't we stop spending on crap like 25m on Skipp, 60k a week on Hamza, 50k a week on Ward or 80k a week on Edouard? Save 3 or 4m, put it in a kitty and use it as an emergency for paying off a manager, it's not rocket science.

I always said when bleating on about my hatred of Enzoball that I watched football for entertainment as well as results. 

 

But having said that,  I totaly see your point about winning some matched.

Burnley for the most part this season have been boring to watch. I would 100% take the season they've just had.

I too found Maresca's football boring, for the most part. However, that was far from my biggest issue with him. I don't think his football got the best out of our squad. We lost 11 games in the championship under him.

It won't be Dyche while Rudkin/Top are in charge. They went with Cooper because of a shocking negotiation position with the points deduction nonsense coupled with the fact they' genuinely don't know what they're doing. Anyone with eyes knows that was a terrible decision.

 

Their remit of 'possesion, play out from the back ' does not fit Dyche, it's as simple as that. He can't do it. He might say he can, but he can't.

Those of you desperate for Dyche need to go and speak to the majority of Everton fans who were so happy when he left. Moyes has come in with the same squad, played a more positive line up and has completely turned the club around.

I'm not sure I agree with you actually. He was at Burnley for 9 years and in that time they made a lot of improvements to their training ground and academy. Also, at Everton, what he left behind was far better than what he inherited.

He's not some I would want reseting and building the ethos and culture of the club.

Sorry, but that is completely irrelevant. Their fans are happier that things are going well under a manager who is well out of reach for us. I mean, so what? Everton would have gone down had they not appointed Dyche when they did. Also, Moyes and Everton are still somewhat in the honeymoon period. Don't forget he had times at West Ham where he looked like it was over for him. Just before the 2022 world cup, a lot of West Ham fans wanted him gone.

I admire his football but we would need a good succession plan, he would be off the first good offer he got.

He left Sirius to go back to Kalmar to 'be closer to his daughter' then took the Malmo job a year later.

Funnily enough with all the Winks stuff recently, he basically said he didn't want to commute between Uppsala and Kalmar anymore when he left, then magically turned up in Malmo a year later.

I guess it would have to be a similar approach to Enzo(not style of play), someone promising with minimal baggage.

Let’s be honest most up and coming manager that we get who will succeed will jump at the first chance they get! We’re a stepping stone unfortunately.

What do you have to back this up though? In some respects he hasn't been given the opportunity to properly 'build' something, even though I'd argue he did to some extent at Burnley. By Premier League standards, Burnley had no financial pulling power. At Everton the situation he inherited was pure chaos and was constantly putting out fires. Neither were optimal environments for building something like Big Nige was able to do here just over a decade ago.
