Wymsey said on 1 June that he thought Dyche would be our man - he went on to tease us with eyes a couple of days later.  Whoareyaaa, added that the eyes were below a Dyche post.  So, I don't think  jv1's comment that it's "tenuous at best', holds up.  I think there's mileage in what Wymsey says (he has a bit of a track record for good info) and if I was a betting man, I'd put money on Dyche at 6/4 (currently).

Just to be clear - I meant it was tenuous that the eyes related to dyche that the other poster said -  wyms posted it in the manager topic so could have meant just some movement for anyone

Now I've lost my possession monkey Russell, and we've missed out on Manning, Murphy is now the obvious possession monkey candidate.

Very sensible really.

We really a shower of shite. We’re making this game (and that’s what it is, a game!) look so much harder that what it actually is. Piss poor leadership. Sort it out FFS

It's logical - no compo to get him, no compo to sack him, he knows the players, the set up, he has a good record of working with younger players (as Pep's U21 Manager, after Maresca) and has got a good reputation (although only League management experience with Rochdale, a while ago). He's been linked with Manager jobs at Cardiff & Plymouth.

I don't know how much he's tarred with RvN's brush, but IF he is his own man and not been allowed to make any significant mark on our approach this season, he might be OK.

We could probably do worse.

I won’t lie, I was fully picturing him and a heavy bald man,  purely on the name alone. No wonder I never spotted him in the dugout lol

Now you mention it, me too...

Wasn't that the Dutch goalkeeping coach?

I'll be honest, I don't really care (within reason) until king power and their cronies are gone. If anything, it's why I'm more open to RVN - bear with me - he's the most likely to speak out and call it all for what it is, than someone coming in as the new guy. Because, otherwise, we'll be back in the old cycle. Let's rip the plaster right off.

I don't want to see Rudkin or Top feeling comfortable at a game again. Horrible to say - and within the law - these absolute .... need to get out of our football club.

Unless Ruud has locked him in a cupboard and refused to listen to anything he has said, this is not the right option.

He’s been part of this shit show and needs to head the same way as anyone else (other than Kingy) who has. Bin

I agree with what you’re saying apart from the bit about King being exempt from going.
Why does an ex player get away without being criticised or put in the same bracket as Ruud and Murphy?
Or is it simply because he’s an ex player?

Because he’s only been back 5 minutes and was pulled in after the damage was done

Ah you’re thinking of the dugout in 23/24, not this year

He came back as coach in Feb.

There were still quite a few games left in the season. It’s not like he came back with 2 or 3 games left in the season.
Unpopular opinion but if he wasn’t an ex player you’d be calling for him to go as well.

Surely there is a clever way you could do this from an account perspective. You are close enough to July that you pay his wages up to the end of the month then the severance package is in the new financial year.

No there isn't.  It does matter if we sack him today, agree to sack him but make the payment on the 1st of July, put him on gardening leave, appoint someone else and then let him go after July, or pay him his usual salary monthly until the end of his contract.  All of these result in an immediate provision for the full cost of his contract in the current financial year.  All the clever ways have been tried before and the accounting rules are specifically designed to overcome them.  ANY action which results in him leaving - even if only obvious after the fact, would result in the cost being in this year's books.
