There's a new name linked, who's known for their cautious playing style.

Does he love a waistcoat!

Arise Sir Gareth

Ha - my opinion of Southgate has actually gone up a fair bit after watching England under Tuchel. However, I don't think he's right for us and I can't for the life of me imagine he'd want to join a circus like LCFC when he could get paid more as a DoF at a much more stable club.

I don’t think Southgate would be a bad appointment, he’d sort out the internal structure of the club and start to build something straight away.

Would not stand for any bellends in the squad and signings would, personality wise more akin to Pearsons.

Football wise I’m not sure but the options out there aren’t great at all.

Claude on his way back to the KP

I would have him as DoF. All the inspirational ability of a coffee table, but what an eye for a player.

It’s quite clear that Ruud needed to have gained a better points total/league position by the start of January in order to get that investment.

That would have allowed the board to potentially take a punt on spending to survive (similar to what they did with Rodgers in that January window).

That didn’t happen - meaning the board couldn’t reasonably sanction a January spending spree.

I dare say, if Rudd had at least picked up positives results against Wolves or Palace in that mid January run we might have backed him with at least one in - as it was, we didn’t and it became increasingly clear we were toast.

This is a major assumption based, what is it based on? Certainly not with our board’s track record. 😜

Gary Megson has unfinished business with us.

I’d take Claudio back if we can get him he’s rejected the Italy job apparently.

I've said in other posts previously that I was led to believe the conversations weren't with Rudkin, the first talks 2 years ago were with Top himself at his UK property.

Im not saying I totally believe what I was told but the individual is someone I trust in a professional capacity and has been on RMs coaching staff at other clubs and I can't see what they would gain from making stuff up, other than knowing I'm a Leicester fan.

I wouldn’t be surprised if rm was lying mate lol

seems like the type of bloke to do something like that. I’d imagine Top wouldn’t meet anyone at the early stages but who knows anymore.
