SK3Blue Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 Rohl was never going to jump from one disaster to another, Dyche knows the score with Rudkin et al. It’ll be the one who’s desperate for the job, any job, just like Cooper was. Come back in November when we start another manager search. 1

Happy to take a look if you can get them? I'm okay, I've already made my point. I remember being underwhelmed on behalf of Wolves fans when he was appointed manager and was quite surprised at how well he did. Just saying it's not particularly fair to judge a manager by narrowing down his stats to a window where he did a shit job 1
dorsetboy Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 We will probably end up just promoting andy king at this rate.

honeybradger Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 If Scott Parker got Burnley promoted then O Neil probably gets us promoted as well. Sadly if we do go up then he's nailed on sacked at Christmas 1

winteriscoming Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 I still reckon another name will come along out of the blue. Maybe Carlos Carvalhal? I’m hoping it’s Hassenhuttl but could see it being someone like Gerrard.

First season he turned things around and had us scoring goals and seemed to be paying close attention to lots of small tactical details. Second season we would get walked through at will in midfield and defence. And his set piece defending was the worst in the league. Eventually his constant tinkering with minor tactical details left us with no real playing identity or mentality to deal with bad situations. That rubbed off on the players and discipline was an all time low. He also never takes responsibility for poor results or bad behaviour. Then he said that he couldn't get results with the players he had, proved wrong as soon as Pereira came in. He left Wolves with a very bad taste in the mouth. TL:DR - Will do alright to start with and loves taking credit, but lacks a team identity and will shirk responsibility when things inevitably go south. Should fit right in with the hierarchy then

Richard Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 Leaked by the club to the press to hurry along the Rohl situation. There's been zero leaks for months, then just when the Rohl deal is stalling, all of a sudden interviews with Wilder and O'Neil hits the press? 2 1

Its less than Coady's wages if he's finally binned off to Rangers. Surely with entering in to a new PSR accounting period we are free to spend a relatively small amount, to pay Sheffield. Also how is the situation "complicated" according to some media plebs? He has a well documented release clause, we trigger it buy offering to pay the amount, it then free's him to be interviewed, we hire him and pay the release clause amount or move on to other targets if he stinks in the interview. Or am I missing something here?

Apologies for not running with the usual doom-mongering mindset but is it out of the question that we're interviewing as a contingency for the Rohl situation not being resolved by X date?

winteriscoming Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 They are monitoring Rohls situation. Great stuff we’ve been manager less for over a week now. Even longer when Ruud was actually here. Fvcking useless from all of them.

Dahnsouff Posted 7 July 2025 Posted 7 July 2025 Interesting people acting like Rohl would be kicking the door in to come to the KP. After the horror show that is/was Wednesday, he might rightly be taking a beat.
