Just wondering this because the narrative seems to be pretty much that all the bad decisions were made after Vichai's passing. Many of us weren't happy with a lot of decisions before that but it's hard to be vocal about it when others were making us so successful.

Who would be happy with King Power being the sole focus and only representation anywhere in our stadium if we hadn't had that success? Who'd be happy with them parading the trophy around themselves (with a bizarre picture of the King of Thailand to accompany them)?

I remember having numerous conversations like this way before shit hit the fan. When Rodgers initially came in I thought I felt glad to be proved wrong. Then came all the murmurs of the loans being taken out. But again, I was happy to be told by the 'experts' on here that it's normal practice. But in the end we've ended up here. The coverage around us has finally dropped the amazing owners bullshit. Long gone are the happy clappers faces as they dish out stale donuts.

So when did you first realise we have bad owners?

When Mandaric sold us to a group of Thai's and Chinese who went on to spend above their means and nearly **** us for decades (if it wasn't for our lords and saviours Nige, Walsh and Shakey.)

Writing was on the wall, lucky Leicester.

There were apparently many signs prior to the downfall and under Vichai which I’ve learnt about but personally it was the 22/23 relegation season.

Behind the scenes?

I remember Ian Stringer really grilling him in an interview on the time about this. There was an unknown consortium I believe alongside the Thais. Mandaric didn't give a **** who he was selling to lets face it.

Didn’t hear many complaining at the time

We don’t have bad owners but they’ve certainly taken their eye off the ball (Literally). Think of all the good they have done the club. However since his dad has pasted it’s definitely changed, can’t see it all being his decision though it will be his team around him, they need sacking and a rebuild is needed that’s the squad and the team who work with him. Rudkin has to go 100% his time is up. 2 big decisions before this season got started we’re giving Vest a 3yr deal and getting an X forest manager.

The success didn't happen because of good strategy at ownership level

Subjective

Without Vichais dodgy dealings we wouldn’t have

1 amassed the squad/foundations that we did.

2 even have been promoted

Dealings? You mean without his money? Of course not. I wouldn't deny that.

But the "strategy" at Championship level was throw way more money at it than was actually sustainable and get out in time before we get punished and end up bust. See Derby County and others for the exact same strategy when it didn't go well.

It was Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh realising exactly what was needed that got us back on track. There's not many managers in the world that wouldn't have just carried on doing what Sven did. Thank god the Birch recommended we go and get him back. (After they instructed they wanted 'world renowned' Paulo Sousa)

I think it's fair to say that Susan Whelan and Jon Rudkin are so far out of their depth at doing the roles they do at a football club. But both kept their jobs because of the work done below them.

And it's only now it's been truly exposed.
