If Leicester City was a book, today was the last paragraph of a chapter. A chapter that started with promotion from the Championship over a decade ago, and told of the Great Escape, the best sporting achievement in football history, an FA Cup win, a fall from grace, a short lived return before it ends with the departure of the one constant who led us through it all. The most amazing chapter that we, as Leicester fans, were so lucky to live through, and will never see the like of again.

 

From the next week, for the first time in over a decade, we're starting a new chapter in the history of Leicester City.

I agree.

To be honest, the way the clubs been heading, I thought maybe his presentation gifts would consist of a £50 one-for-all voucher, a grab bag of skittles, litre bottle of Asda Smart price vodka and a 4pk of Red bull.

Thought for a moment, before they did the POTS announcement, when Dorsett said they have one more announcement, I genuinely thought it was a statue commission or stand re-naming.


Ah well. One can hope that comes in good time...

Nit-picking but acoustic sad girl indie is not appropriate for a Jamie Vardy compilation. Jungle would be better.

Can't stomach the thought of seeing him playing in another English clubs kit (and I am including Wrexham in that)

I see the programmes, flags and clappers are working their way onto eBay now. 

 

Best one I saw so far is someone has printed off the photo took by one of the press, framed it and stuck it on Ebay for £40

I was a couple of years younger than that when Lineker left us and I was devasted too.

 

Must admit I 'flirted' a bit with Everton the season after as I was such a massive fan boy.
