Its my club. Support means following them when they are bad not just when they are good. They are called Part Time Petes!

This sounds like you’re talking about your kids or people that matter. The reality is ‘the club’ is just a load of millionaires / billionaires who don’t care about you and that’s reflected in every aspect of its operation.

If they were relatable people passionate about the meaning of the club then I could still feel the emotional connection, but both KPFC and football in general aren’t like that anymore. I’d argue almost none of them have the fans’ best interests at heart nor any pride in the club or the community.

Anyway, in answer to the thread question, I’ve not been in years due to this disillusionment (Puel and Rodgers cared as little about making football enjoyable as Ruud does). In that time I’ve taken a far bigger interest in music, started playing guitar and it’s completely changed me. For anyone saying they struggle to replace the passion and identity of supporting us, I would say some sort of artistic pursuit is worth trying for everyone; you can use it to find people to bond with and unlike football you also feel like you are achieving something as an individual. Being proud of something is important, you can’t always rely on this through people you don’t even know.

I thought this thread topic was really easy to understand

Obviously not

That’s a boo boys usual response to anyone who exercises their choice and desire to watch City, our team. Presume you are a part time Pete, but only in the good times. Leave the Fanatical Franks to carry on doing what they’ve done for years. It’s what they CHOOSE to do and are not influenced by others who try to put them down by hiding behind the Happy Clapper insult.

As an avid former FOX reader long before it was age appropriate for me, I love that you fail to see the irony that Pete would have been in the "We are where we are" camp when faced with the current shitshow.

Frank chained himself to the terraces to try and prevent the Kop being made all-seated.

He did also fail to boycott the friendly v Milton Keynes in 2004 though, so maybe you do share a bit of DNA.

Having a bottle of wine in hospitality before the game and then, if the last half a dozen games are anything to go by, staying in there for the second half having another bottle.

Love it, sounds perfect!

I may go full on 'Severance', get chipped so I cannot remember anything about the game the moment I walk out of the stadium!

I watch too much Apple TV these days!

Absolutely 100% agree with your post and your final comment is spot on too

We all have incredible talents inside of us and to tap into that is a skill in itself

I still love football, less the millionaire side of it, more the smaller teams and to also marvel at the skill of the top players especially in World Cups etc.

But that Man City style football is absolutely dreadful now

Dont tell me what I should do!!!!! Being a fan is not a political movement. I suggest you become a fan of Arsenal, or Man City and then you can moan about not winning anything for over 5 minutes.

Nobody is saying change teams. But if you flag wave when the club is being run this badly, you’re not helping the team you love. Blind support is a dangerous thing, and people like yourself are being taken advantage of. Fans need to use their brains a bit and think of the bigger picture.

It's not Vestergaard's dog is it, hope not that means he may be back in the team

This is fine. If footie is not for you and you would rather play music then best of luck to you. Its your choice and I hope you enjoy it.

If we lost every week with players who actually cared, a manager who actually cared and a hierarchy who actually cared, I promise you, I (along with many others) would go every week.

It’s not losing every week that has people enraged. It’s the fact that the club are so far from what they used to be. They’re not relatable any more. Not the club we all fell in love with (and by the way, for most of us that club also lost a lot). Not something we can be proud of.

We’re just here watching our club rot away and that hurts.

Anyway, I don’t understand how this thread has turned from being a lighthearted thread into this. Since I’ve stopped going, I’ve started playing darts on a saturday afternoon. Bought myself a darts board and all.

I never realised that there are so many on this forum that do not actually attend matches but are quick to tell others they shouldn’t be doing so either. You made your choice, we make ours.

Just seen the team with all those young players getting a go. Think I might just stay inside and have three bottles.

Tipping Lego on the floor and skipping around on it in bare feet. Still less painful.

I imagine at 3 tomorrow I'll be slightly inebriated, slumped over a table, having watched Bristol City blow their best chance of getting to the play offs in years....

Well nearly fully correct rather than just half correct....
