Jersey Bulls in step 4, will be cool to see some new teams.

Before that there will be a pre-season friendly against a decent sized English/Scottish league club with a tax dodging owner which will be fun.

Kyle Jardine announces he's leaving Heather St Johns, last seasons top goal scorer in the Midland Division One. Same day as his announcement of his departure, he comes a member of Boro's facebook fan page.  Early spoilers... Good if true, it's been known Boro been wanting to sign him for some time.

Must be on a small fortune. Was getting paid an absolute wedge at Heather and was content to take the money and play with mates.

Looking forward to next season. Few good ones to keep an eye on in and around the county. Will probably be getting over to Harborough a fair few times again.

Got mine and the lads season ticket for Anstey this season. £140 for me. £35 for the boy. Plus 10% off at the bar. Happy days and within walking distance to. Hopefully bump into some old faces as grew up and went school in Anstey.

He’s signing for Nuneaton. Heard yesterday.

@Seventyseven I've heard from a close source to some of the players, that there's one player getting close to £1200 a week at Harborough.

That surely cant be true id be surprised if even any national league north player earns that.

I’ll be back on matchday media duties with Shepshed Dynamo. Got Dale Belford in as assistant manager and retained a good amount of players so with the right additions it could be a good season ahead.

Corby look strong this season with a dangerous front two and some good early signings from Hinckley LR. Some very good sides in the league including Mickleover who looked a tidy outfit battering us last pre-season.

Offered quite a bit more than that for a striker….

There is not a chance Harborough, or any club near this level are paying anyone over 60k per year to play around 40 games and train for one or maybe two evenings per week. Not sure why people ever believe these rumoured figures.

The two lads they've signed from Brackley Town (who have just been promoted to national league).... Do you think they'll be joining Harborough for the same / less money?

They will be on similar money to what they were but nothing like that amount. Many don’t like travelling the country which you have to do in the National League. It takes them from their everyday jobs. Players like Step 3 due to the relatively low travel.

Would you honestly go from winning the National League North to Step 3 on the same/less money?

You got to hope they got a good backer, as you seen with Nuneaton Boro you cant always just throw money to chase the dream, especially when its not your money. Plus if your not attracting the fans, not getting revenue you back.

No doubt Barwell towards the end of last season were offering stupid wages to avoid relegation. Crown Skips sponsor gave Jim Ginnelly 30k i heard. They stayed up but by default. Wage bill will be high next season especially if those players remained.

The running/wages paid etc are not coming from one source.

The club is very sustainable.

I’ve already wrote about this on the other thread that got hastily locked just after I posted.

Telford early in the season, told players and coaching staff if they didn't gain promotion in May. If players wanted to remain they would need cut wages by 50%. Luickly for then they did go to gain promotion.

Even though they attract crowds of 1k every week they expected crowds to drop if they remained in the southern league Central for a third season.
