Amarviv Sandhu should be playing at least a step higher if not 2.

Great signing for Lutterworth.

Yes Definitely could play at step three without a doubt, surprised no ones gambled on him

Phil Brown appointed Peterborough Sports manager.

Fair play to him, he isn't too proud or arrogant to take these jobs.

Proves he loves his football and Peterborough ain't exactly bank rolled. Imagine 2009 his task was to keep a club in the premier league, 2025 his task is to keep a club in the national league north.

Its interesting when you see ex premier league managers drop into non league, Brian Little of course remember a league cup winning manager took over at Gainsborough Trinity at this level.

I'm going to need you to say that a bit louder.

Is formatting bad? Looks fine on my phone. If not blame my age and copy and pasting because I couldn't remember 2 fixtures to write in my own words! Apologies.

Been a while

Quorn 2 - 1 Bromsgrove

A game truly containing the old adage, it’s a game of two halves.
First half Bromsgrove dominating play with actually causing too much threat on the Quorn goal. Movement, pressing, transition speed all possibly the best seen so far from an opposition this season. A poor back-pass gifts the outstanding Sanches an easy goal to take the visitors into the interval one up.

Second half Quorn switch to a 3-5-2 and the difference is immediate. Bromsgrove seem content to try and weather the storm but a goal from ex Wigan u23’s O’Boyle sparks the home team into life. As the clock winds down, spurned chances look like they would again cost Quorn 3 points until the evergreen Billy Kee causes a mix up between Keeper and Defender with the ball ricocheting off Kee and into the net for three points. The perfect response after Saturday.

It’s an astonishing start to the season for newly promoted Quorn. Tipped as some people’s favourites to go down, they sit on 16 points and their defeats have been where they’ve beaten themselves.

He’s since gone to Rugby Borough, step 4. I bet Lutterworth have kept him on dual reg going forward.

Harborough looked very good. The depth of their squad is too much for everyone. You can see that in their second half performances.

Excellent start by Quorn. A playoff push would be some feat.

Haha to be fair, that sounds like the most "Billy Kee" description of a goal I've ever read :D Fitting that the man himself got it.

Good to bounce back after a disappointing result vs Royston. Being a Coalville fan, I know that feeling well, I think we played Royston either 8 or 10 times in that league and never beat them lol Considering we were usually near the top and they were lower mid table it was quite a feat.

Do you think you can maintain the form and have a genuine pop at the play offs this year?

Honestly, I don’t believe so but who knows with this group. I think the requirements for Step 2 would render promotion unachievable so IMO Quorn are at the highest they can get to. The Chairman wouldn’t allow the club to get into the same issues that Coalville and Loughborough Dynamo got into so being sustainable at Step 3 is probably a big enough task. Having one of the lowest wage structures in the league helps somewhat and only serves to credit the club further for the current performance levels.
My one worry is that although unlikely, a decent league position at Christmas renders Bez in the sights of other teams who have vacancies available. It just wouldn’t work with him at the helm of this group. His stock was already big but now it’s getting bigger. And rightly so.

Yeah, I think it's likely that he will be offered an opportunity at a higher level soon, he seems to be working wonders with you.

That's the problem with exceeding expectations, it's great at the time, but it's only a matter of time before bigger clubs take notice and put in their offers.

Are you still in the cups? if you can remain competitive in the top half and have a decent cup run than that'd be ace.

The gap in the budgets at step 3 are insane aren't they lol Always the clubs that are signing players from levels above claiming that they're working on a shoestring as well :D

I still have the league on my Flashscores, it hurts every time I open it up haha. So i'll be keeping and eye out, I do love the updates in here as well, it's good to see this thread much more lively that it was a couple of years back

I'll have to pop down for a game when Coalville aren't playing.

Hard to see past Harborough this year, wouldn't be shocked to see them go far in the FA cup again either.

Boro drew 1-1 at Aylestone Park, 93rd minute equaliser for the Leicester side. Which keeps both teams unbeaten, whilst Boro still maintain a six point lead. 370 attendance last night i believe.

I can only assume that the knock on his head vs Harborough in the play-off semi has led to this.

What was he thinking? He plays in the SOUTHERN League lol

Footballers tend to not the most smartest people on the planet.

Kyle Jardine gone onto a contract. He has had a great start this season so assume clubs higher up have been looking at him.

What could his level be? He doesn’t look the most mobile of players but certainly is dangerous in & around the box.
