Quorn 3 - 1 St Ives Town

A great 3 points to end a horror show of a month with regard to the sheer amount of gams and the quality of opposition.

Quorn missing key players in midfield and a late withdrawal from an unwell Billy Kee. This didn’t show with the home team going two up from Digie & Colbourne finding the net respectively. An immediate reply from St Ives and a tasty tunnel dust up at HT got both teams coming out firing for the second half played at a fast tempo.

With both sides not really creating anything golden, it was left to an overhead kick from CB, Luke Cox to take Quorn 3-1 and three points.

Great team effort and incredible as it sounds given the current play off position, Quorn’s focus will be 50 points and relegation safety

Stayed at Quorn after the lads training to watch them play Harborough. Not the best game. But Harborough deserved their win. Got a cracking little player in centre mid, ran the game for them Quorn couldn’t get near him.

Devon Kelly Evans - ex Cov, mines about, went to Kettering, shifted to Harbs during the summer. Shame I didn’t see you there Rob as I’d have bought you a beer. It was a good night.

DKE managed to get himself sent off today for Harborough today.

They finished with 9 men ! Drew 1-1 at Barwell.
He’s been doing very well, especially recently.

It was one of the busier nights there for sure. The rain didn’t help though did it!

Quorn have had a decent week 7 points from 9 which is superb for them. Would be great if they can make the playoffs.

Oadby Town given a reprieve after Clay Cross Town were kicked out due to fielding an eligible player in the Fa Vase. So there's two Leicestershire clubs in still in the Vase. Tough test though the Boro in the next round. However itll bring a huge following from Nuneaton few extra £££ for both clubs.

Oadby did Borough today

1-3 defeat never seen us losing, but football can certainly throw surprises wasnt our day all started from a pen miss. Gutted but at same tims still so many rounds before you can think about Wembley. So full focus for boro is now league. Credit to Oadby hope they get to progress far as possible.

Quorn 3 - 2 Redditch

Quorn’s unreal start to life at Step 3 continues with yet another 3 points to go alongside Saturday’s win against Needham Market, a Step 2 team last season.

A frantic first half saw 5 goals in the opening 22 minutes. Redditch taking the lead on 4 minutes an outstanding finish from a Wolves u21 Loanee. Ten Minutes later a well worked goal saw Leicester Lad and former Wigan Athletic Youth player Finn o’Boyle grab an equaliser only for Redditch to restore the lead a minute later from a Corner. A Penalty to Quorn 2 minutes later dispatched by Manager Beswick brings the sides level. O’Boyle again with a shot off the bar followed up by the head of Colbourne sees Quorn take a 3-2 lead.

Second half Quorn go more defensive but effective keeper Harrison not having too much to deal with.

40 points already in early December. An unreal effort. 10 points left to meet the managers safety target. Madness

Best of luck to both Anstey Nomads & Harborough Town this afternoon in their FA Trophy matches.

Going to watch Harborough. A free hit, nothing to lose.

In fact they have 3 or 4 games in hand in the league, so a loss could be a blessing, l hate to admit.

Many congrats to Conrad Logan and the Anstey Nomads, overcoming away at Hartlepool United 1-2 in the FA Trophy. Excellent result.

Hopefully home tie in the next round, furthest they been.

Brilliant from Anstey. That’s some effort

Fingers crossed they get a cracking home tie.

Thats probably done Harborough a favour today. With Spalding dropping points today, it’s not been a bad day for them.

Didn't think there was too much between them today. Carlisle weren't as good as l thought they'd be. Harborough had plenty of chances.

Mighty Anstey make it well done. Hope they get the draw the want in the next round, Carlisle Utd away maybe? or give them a tough test at home. Probably make more money up at there place with a bigger crowd.

Top draw for Anstey Nomads a trip to FC Halifax Town in the next round a nice little earner in that. Also giant killers Clitheroe have been rewarded with a trip to Scunthorpe Utd in the Fa Trophy.
