Fair play looks Nuneaton have found a site for a new ground. Agreed a 49 year lease with the council.

Yep Vale View, im shocked its been approved so quick i remember years ago when we tried to get a new stadium after we left Manor Park it took ages. But no seemed straight forward. I think the aim is to be back in Nuneaton for 2027.

How come it's 49? I assume 50+ years makes it more awkward?

There isn't an outright answer other than its traditional for long leaseholds to be 49 years or 99 years. My very fainting guess is that after 50 years - the land might have supposed flood risk or something?

Table at jersey bulls v deal town today. Stale food and usual shakedown for your money. But the game was great, last min 2-1 jersey win. Match kicked off at 16.03 to highlight the national league three up three down campaign. Deal town bought over 100 fans and were loud

Harborough and Anstey saw off higher opposition over the weekend in the Trophy. Nomads impressively away at Step 2 Bedford Town.

Harborough got a really good result not playing as Halesowen got a last minute equaliser at home to Spalding. Quorn in a bit of a sticky patch at the moment, lost 3-2 at Banbury.

Annoying they face each other tomorrow night - the biggest Leicestershire derby this season, both games on Tuesday nights.

UCL South is now cooking with Nuneaton losing to Histon.

Carlisle at home for Harborough in the next round, Hartlepool away for Anstey.

All good for the profile of non-league in the county.

Great ties for both, selfishly gutted Nomads aren’t at home, but glad both got NL sides

Mark Hughes to visit Harborough then. I imagine they’ll play a weakened side as promotion must be their priority.

Stayed at Quorn after the lads training to watch them play Harborough. Not the best game. But Harborough deserved their win. Got a cracking little player in centre mid, ran the game for them Quorn couldn’t get near him.

That’s Devon Kelly-Evans. He’s superb. Harborough very dominant, didn’t really get out of second gear and should have had a couple more. Expected a bit more from Quorn but they seem on a little dip of form.

Didn't Harborough sign him from Quorn ?

Seems like he went to Leamington from Quorn. Then to Harborough.

Yeah was really impressed with him, along with the Harborough work rate who always had someone pressing or in the face of a Quorn player. Didn’t give them any time to play. Quorn seem to have a very thin squad which is catching up with them, although I think they’ll be there or thereabouts still come the end of the season.

He was at Kettering last season.

That's right, player of the season for Kettering last season.

Superb little player, kind of like a smaller ngolo Kante😀

Harborough only four leagues behind Leicester if we go up 😂 would love Quorn to go up with us if it happens this season. Need more Leicestershire teams up the pyramid. I don't think any Leicester team has ever got to national league north ??

Hinckley were. Famously about two minutes from National League/Conference in a playoff final

Yep they were 3-1 up against Farsley Celtic with ten minutes to go... ended up losing 3-4. Things may have turned out so much different for Hinckley United if they got promotion

Ironically for Farsley that promotion came way too soon for them. That year in the conference north was the first team at that level. In terms of players, fan base and budget that was something Farsley didn't have to compete in the Conference they got relegated after one season then i think they wound up the following season. Safe to say if Hinckley had have gone up instead they probably would have coped better and progressed as a club. In fact 2007-08 was not a great year for Leicester City as we know so more fans may have attended Hinckley instead.

They will come back no doubt. Shame for them it always seems to be this level they struggle at.

Don't hear much about the Morecambe manager in the media, which am slightly surprised about given his background.

I think he's quite a quiet bloke in general, though perhaps it's because he's not a southerner. If he was southerner probably getting more coverage.

Oadby Town given a reprieve after Clay Cross Town were kicked out due to fielding an eligible player in the Fa Vase. So there's two Leicestershire clubs in still in the Vase. Tough test though the Boro in the next round. However itll bring a huge following from Nuneaton few extra £££ for both clubs.
