Severly cut the budget. Unknown if that's bad

The money to even compete at step 4 is now mental, Corby are quite far off and still clearly well overspent. I don’t think supporters appreciate the cost ať that level and assume as it’s eighth tier it’s a pittance.

For all the applauds received towards the non-league, it has a major problem with this. I know Step 3 around Birmingham is silly because of the cluster of clubs.

I know it's easy to bash the FA but they have chased after this perfect pyramid and it's causing issues. At Step 5/6, as you know, the distances are huge.

Corby situation showcases fine margins, play off final in May, which meant promotion to the Southern League Central Premier. Sadly they lost and instead face going out of business seven months later.

Prize money and bigger away followings would have helped the club.

Corby's budget went from 4K a week to 2.8K according to Gary Setchell's interview. Clubs need to learn to live within their means, because ultimately, it's not sustainable.

Mitch Austin's meltdown to Harborough's first loss of the league season has been something.

Genuinely don’t know what you are talking about here? He was only gracious and was cheery in his post match interview.

anyway, great away win for the bees today whilst all the others at the top lost or drew.

He bit at least two Twitter accounts after the game including Stourbridge’s official account. Why he bothers being on there I don’t know.

Anyway very good weekend for Harb, going to win it at a canter

Wheels well and truly fell off at Aylestone Park. Couple of defeats and out comes the cheque as per. This time signing 2 lads from Corby Town

Madness given that division looks pretty tied up between 3 teams and Moulton are decent as well.

Its ever since they lost to the Boro, i think they were unbeaten up to then. They just haven't been able to react well after that defeat.

Hopefully. You don't think Spalding will make it difficult ? Still have Harborough visiting them in the new year & scoring plenty. Real Bedford could be in the mix too.

Spalding keep dropping points whereas Harbs are so consistent with three in hand (all cup games done now). Real Bedford are 10 behind now.

I am interested to see if Nomads can catch Carlton. They had a player reshuffle and now they are gelling. Huge game January 6th between them pair in Nottingham. January will be the makers of Nomads.

A bit of sad news from up here in the North East,Bedlington Terriers FC have folded. They made the final of the FA vase in 1998/99.Seems it's been a bit of trouble between the council and the owners of the ground.....can see a few houses being built.

Spencer Edwards & Freddie Robinson

Might be Robinsons level. Expected good things from him at Harborough but he rarely produced and since leaving hasn’t done anything at Step 4.

Sad news indeed. Another established community football club gone.

I've loosly followed the terriers decline from afar for a while now & always assumed something would be done to save the club.

I believe local councils are under extreme pressure to grab any land available to ensure the housing target is achieved & while new homes are needed it's shit that this has to be at the expense of any sporting/recreational club.

1,488 at Ashington today v Blyth Spartans....  Ashington lost 0.1,but it was a great afternoon drinking with the Blyth fans and just generally doing what normal football fans would do!

Went to Loughborough Uni today to watch (the mighty) Shepshed with my old boy, won 3-0. First Dynamo game I'd been to in ages and had no idea Dale Belford was assistant there

Sure a few have been but what a pitch that is at Loughborough Uni by the way

Late winner for the Boro against Cov United, very scrappy game that can have easily gone either way. luckily it was the Boro that would find the net late on with a goal setup by our loan signing from america Sahal Yessen whose over here taking a short break from his studies in america. Second spell with the club having spent two month loan spell last season, safe to say last year he destroyed opponents. I think if he was back in England full time he would be playing much higher up the league system. 863 attendance pretty good for step five.
