I liked the look of Carr when I watched the FA youth cup game. He’s got some pace

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the more opportunities players from the academy get, the better the u23s seem to perform. 
 

It just provides that carrot and stick to them all

Jake Evans is in a strange limbo where he's outgrown U21 football but he's also not getting minutes off the bench or getting onto it when Monga is available.

 

His opportunity will hopefully come in the FA cup although im not holding my breath.

Rinse and repeat with Lorenz Hutchinson between U18 and U21s. I can almost understand the difficult position with Evans despite not agreeing with it but I'd be fascinated to hear from someone within the game and in particular close to the pathway in the academy as to the thought process on Hutchinson.

Hutchinson has looked good at u21 level when he has played as well. It might be that they want him to be a regular starter with competition at striker in the u21s coming from Evans, Popov and Otchere. There is a strong risk he stagnates at that level as well, same with Evans.

Better do the only reason I'm going is to see some of the youngsters play.
