Shame they don’t keep the fans better informed and show the u21 games

Is there some reason we are not playing at the HK 7s tournament this year? Can’t remember a year when we haven’t been involved? Apart from Covid, we have been going since the early 2010’s

A little disappointed about Popov I think he will be a steady efl player but we can’t keep everyone around and have stronger academy options right now.

He did enough at Morecambe to get himself a solid National league move I reckon

Shame about Onanaye, thought he looked really tidy at the start of the season.

 

Good about Wilson-Brown, Cartwright and Neale. Be good to see what Neale can do on loan with the other two maybe being brought into the first-team fold.

 

Hope Ali, King and Briggs sign especially.

With a man united academy background and the goals he scored, I’d be extremely surprised if a league 2 club didn’t give him a chance.

I think you will find these "offers" have already been accepted, I've no idea why they have been reported like this when they were done in April.

They (older academy boys) need (an opportunity ) to go and play "proper" football, and they will develop and have a chance at career.

presumably the club want to be able to make more positive announcements of academy players signing deals - so they make it look like they’re waiting for a few to sign. 
were treated like we’re stoopid 

and a large chunk of the fanbase lap it all up

I'd be shocked, because logically that's what I'd assume, when I had an outside perspective.

 

However in my experience that's giving the majority of staff, waaaay to much credit, which I'm sure by now you've all realised they don't deserve 🤣 (Not all however, staff member if your reading). Covered myself there for sure! 

 

I really shouldn't be this candid 👀 not sure I'm actually letting a cat out of the bag here. 

 

They have been given 12 month deals with a club option 12 months extra. 👍🏻

Quite a few youngsters posting clips of themselves doing individual training bits. Alves, Briggs & Evans so far I’ve seen.

 

This pre season will be a big chance for some of the u21s

Good to see, KDH is a great example to the younger lads on the benefits of taking it seriously and putting in the graft.

 

Fair play to Evans who seems to acknowledge he took his foot off the gas at the wrong point last summer thinking he'd already made it.

 

Ideally he would have had an experienced arm round his shoulder to guide him, of course that could have happened and fell on deaf ears. Either way, good to see he's treating this summer differently.
