Leicester City's retained list in full confirms 66 players with two more exits and seven offers
The Premier League have published the full retained lists for each of their member clubs from the season just gone, with City's list showing 49 players on professional terms

Leicester City’s full retained list has been published, with 49 professionals and 17 scholars on the list.

City have previously confirmed the 11 professionals who have been released by the club, and on Monday they announced that nine new contracts have been signed, and with offer made to Brandon Cover.

But now the Premier League have published each club’s full rundown of professional players and scholars.

City’s list notes that there are further seven scholars who have received new contract offers: Bless Akolbire, Ryan Donnelly, Jake Donohue, Alfie Fisken, Reiss Khela, Ola Omobolaji and Kirsten Otchere.

It also shows two scholars have left the club alongside the 11 professionals. They are midfielder Kaleb Dyke, whose switch to QPR has already been announced, and goalkeeper Lewis McNab.

McNab had joined the club’s under-16s from his hometown side Weymouth two years ago following a successful trial.

For now, Jake Evans is on the list of scholars, but will move up to the professionals list from August, when he turns 17 and once the formalities of his new deal have been tied up.

Jeremy Monga does not feature on either list for now, but has signed a scholarship that officially begins in July, when he turns 16. That deal will eventually become a professional one in 2026.

I would imagine that our squad will eventually look like this;

GK

Stolarczyk

DEF

Aluko, Coady, Coulibaly, Cover, Justin, Nelson, Pereira, Souttar, Vestergaard, Thomas

MID

Braybrooke, Cartwright, Choudhury, Golding, Skipp, Winks

WIN

Alves, Ayew, Decordova-Reid, Fatawu, Mavididi, McAteer, Monga

STR

Daka, Evans

El Khannouss, Faes, Hermansen, Kristiansen, Ndidi, Okoli and Soumare to be sold/loaned. The rest to be a part of the U21s/Academy.

I would say that we're extremely light on goalkeepers and strikers. I'm not sure who on that list is the youth team goalkeeper but I would imagine he would be promoted to 3rd choice. We then need to make the decision on whether Stolarczyk is ready to be the number 1.

Justin, Thomas and Aluko on the left with Ricardo, Coulibaly and Cover on the right. I think we'd need to sign a central defender if possible. Especially considering Souttar is currently long term injured.

I think we're short in midfield especially considering only Choudhury has any sort of physicality.

So I think in order to compete at the top of the league we need a striker, a big ****er in midfield, a centre half and a goalkeeper.

We have no strikers at the club Evans is untested Daka is pathetic and needs to go so our priority has to be two goal scorers. After that a box to box midfielder, winks and skipp both need to go along with Choudray. Centre half partner for Ben Nelson dump Coady and Vestergaard. De Cordova Reid should be a Programme seller it’s all he is fit for. Invest in youth do not reward failure.

Ricardo and Coady will almost certainly go. We won't start the season with all those wingers either. Ayew if he stays will play through the middle. We look to have Mavididi and Fatawu as starters but who knows if anyone comes in for Abdul we have McAteer and Mknga and we may cash in. Winks is on mega money and is another we will most probably try and rid of too. He was horrific last season.

Thomas?

I doubt it.

For the record, I think @AKCJ's list will be wide of the mark in that even we surely can't be stupid enough to rely on one keeper and two strikers.

Can we?

I think we'll sign strikers and goalkeepers. That list is just the list of current players that I think will still be here come 8th August.
