I think anyone with a heart can separate that statement from what else is going on with the club. People from Leicester were victims in that horrible tragedy and others in Leicester are impacted.

Why can't they speak on other matters then?

It's just galling to see our board quick to release a note of platitude but totally absent where communication is actually required. A more cynical person would be inclined to suggest they're happy to align themselves with heartfelt messaging, but won't have anything to do with associating themselves with the reality of our failures.

As with anything, nobody values the 'thoughts and prayers' of organisations anyway.

Look, it's harmless. Pointless, but harmless. I'd be totally heartless to suggest they shouldn't say anything. But for goodness sake if releasing a statement is that easy for them (and so quickly, by the way), where is their communication with the fanbase?

A communications / PR Manager releases that statement on the Indian aeroplane travesty.

They can’t release a statement on the squad, RVN, or next season, if they’ve no idea what is happening themselves.

Everyone at the club is sort of in purgatory from what I was in the week, just waiting to find out what the plan / strategy is for next season.

Once that’s been decided, I’d still expect little to no communication!

I think most fans are sensible enough to understand that certain sensitive information cannot be shared for public consumption, however the club could and should have released a statement, accepting this season was nowhere near acceptable on and off the pitch and a full and thorough evaluation is underway and assuring supporters that everything will be done to put things right, blah blah blah

Waiting to sack him, cant say anything really can they? What would they say?

You don't think they should acknowledge or explain a 2nd relegation in three seasons?

Look at what other clubs have released this year

Simple truth is they don't give a flying **** about the supporters on anything other than a superficial level.

Why would they though, we lap it up.

It's becoming obvious due to our finances we can't do any business at all until July 1st.  Hence, the blanket silence from the club.  I also

can't see us pay any compensation for any manager also in current employment.  We either stick or twist re RVN.  I think we will stick with RVN due to

financial reasons.  It's a shame it has come to this our financiers and accountants seriously need binning off.  Rudkin too for silly inflated player wages.  Don't

think that will happen either.  If we do bin off RVN it will be either Dyche or Carrick.  Top loves a name so Dyche it will be.

It's all very sad for our club.  I also don't think there will be many incomings re transfers either.  We will go with what we have next season.

To fill the void the most recent ‘When You’re Smiling’ podcast (admitting they didn’t know what was going on) just gave Matty Fryatt the mic and let him loose with his meandering prose without a pause for almost 20 mins. I ‘surfed’ the full anecdote to its exhausting and fruitless end. Quite a feat.

Right now, it feels like we don't even have a club. Posting the odd clip of old goals on socials makes things worse for me. That's the sort of thing my son could do.

I feel more than ever that there is a complete void of management, or anything, going on. Scary how it got here.

I’d love to be inside the heads of key people - like Rudkin and Top. What are they thinking?

It's a pity all the season  tickets sold out ,because  if only 10,000 had sold ,that'd of woken them up .They don't deserve  people's  hard earned money .

I support the club, not the owners. Right now the owners aren't performing and need to be held to account, but i dont stop supporting the club.

Its not fair to blame fans who bought seasons tickets. The fault lies with the decision makers and owners. Focus the energy on them.

That's true people do, but selling out of season tickets will vindicate to the powers that  be that everybody's  happy with the  running of the club ,and the moaners can do one .

I don’t see it that way John. I have been season ticket holder for as long as I can remember. I will always support the team through thick and thin. I hate that Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has degraded our club to what it is today. I want him gone so badly it hurts but I can separate my disdain and loathing for him and his incompetent executives from the love of our club which will never waiver. I get some fans views that we should stop enabling him but I don’t think selling out our season ticket allocation is an endorsement of the King Power regime. If he, Rudkin and Whelan are deluded to think that, we’re in bigger trouble than I thought.

Then there’s no harm in telling us he’s staying, has no implications on finances. It’s blatant he’s going for me, they’re just playing the PSR waiting game. Phil

There was a significant enough drop off for the club to notice. It’s just that there were people waiting in the wings to replace non-renewers as they haven’t been able to buy season tickets for the past x number of seasons.

But everyone who bought a season ticket this time round because someone else checked out is a lost membership or match day ticket purchaser.

There’s an impact somewhere along the chain, even if season tickets show as 100% sold out.

For me, the complete silence has pi$$ed me off more than the pathetic performances from the players and manager last season. I appreciate they are possibly bound by psr about commenting on the future, but last season was shambolic, no goals in 9 home games, 1 win in something like 20 games, etc etc and not a word. Totally tucked off by the lack of leadership
