@Foxes_Trust

That piece is just letting everyone know that the club no longer communicates on any level with it's supporters (customers)

It really falls totally short of a full condemnation of this and does nothing to hold anyone to account over it.

I appreciate things may have improved from the Trust (not hard) in terms of it's language about club actions or lack of, however, these absolute failures need properly digging out and need to be held to account.

Name what you would expect to hear from named individuals in certain roles. Give examples of other clubs who actually have spoken to their supporter base following relegation. It's feels more like a commentary piece rather than what it should be at this stage.

You like telling others how they should do things don't you? You, perhaps, should take some ownership yourself, seeing as you have so many ideas?

Pride will be onside as they get so much PR from the club, so while their love-in with the club is very strange considering how the club are anti-fan, I do understand why they conform.

The club, like so many clubs and businesses wear the rainbow when they choose like a badge of honour for a few days. Often the case when I was in football of "let's just get this done" , throw a few #'s around etc etc. I've not seen much to change that view / experience across the game. I doubt there is a strategy to grow the pride group fan base specifically within the clubs aims (I may be wrong) deeper than the tokenism LCFC show with their IG etc.

Remember last season Union FS were not allowed to "mass flyer" to raise mental heath awareness in our city, but some games later Pride have access to flyer fans from the club shop. If you are Pride why would you rock that very steady ship?

Isn't it that one guy? - I am sure there are many LGBT members who don't agree with him.  He didn't get selected from the FCC but the club gave him one of the supporters spots on the FAB...  yet those spots were for ordinary fans not FCC guys (NB: the fcc is appointed by the club!)

There’s a comment in there from someone complaining we aren’t more positive about relegation and not clapping the team off like we have done in previous relegations

Genuinely mind blowing

We really do have some small club supporters.

I can imagine so mate, from what I hear and see, Graham seems like the kind of guy who operates solely for himself to be ITK. He’s in every photo at the front, it’s his toy it seems. If the club stuck their logo on one he would go to the opening of an envelope etc…

Me too - I urged the trust to withdraw support. IMO it would have been hard for the club to go ahead while in dispute with the supporters trust.  I think at the AGM you saw the trust admit that they got played.  Frankly the FAB thing is a disgrace - the club seek to  have control - yet listening to the views of fans would be an opportunity to learn .... the FAB would not compel them to actually do anything so I wonder why they are so scared?

Totally mate, you know i agree with all you say on this stuff.

We’ll have a new manager soon and that means another chance for the club to slip him into another meeting with fans. I would highly expect this to happen around any release of the @Foxes_Trust survey results IF they are at all concerned and that opportunity arises.

Either way they will use this tactic as they did with Cooper to shut people up. Blind them by the lights. Clubs do this all the time to soften the blow of any negativity.

I’ve bored you all I’m sure with how I used to take any complaint out of an email and to the changing rooms, the dugout, the training ground etc. I’d check the retail history on the system or check social media to see who their favourite players were etc…. guess who would “randomly” turn up…. blah blah blah

I'm not the body representing the supporter base am I.

Ridiculous comment

The charity thing in the minutes. Just realised was it literally us kicking off on here that it was clearly them using it as deflective PR? Not sure how you could interpret that as fans criticising charity work… we just weren’t buying the timing of it lol

Maybe you should be then? You have all the answers seemingly, and consistenly advise what "should" be done.

So many people on here consistently talk the talk without walking the walk. Typical really lol

I don't claim to be in the know, however....

I've just seen the all of the LCFC board in the Earl of Stamford having a pint, and waiting for this to all blow over.

Not sure they thought their pub choice through though.

He’s stepping down from what I’ve heard. No idea who’s taking it on.

The club has been poorly run recently. I  agree with everyone on that. However, on the communication piece what is everybody expecting them to do? Release a post on X saying:

LCFC can confirm that Ruud Van Nistlerooy will be sacked on the 1st July. We can’t do it before because that will put us at risk of breaching PSR again.

It is a sad state of affairs that financial mismanagement has put us in this place, but surely on the communication piece they have to stay quiet in this one?

We have today published an article on the continued silence from LCFC:

https://foxestrust.co.uk/11888/lcfc-and-the-communication-void

The club has remained largely silent since relegation, other than brief comments in the Southampton home game programme, and the recent announcement about contract extensions for ‘nine rising stars’.

Leicester City supporters have heard nothing from the club about whether Ruud van Nistlerooy will be with us for the start of the 2025/26 Championship season, and seemingly, from his comments, he doesn’t know either. There may be valid and legitimate legal reasons for that because of the PSR / financial situation, but we’re left in limbo for now.

There has been nothing from the club about where they may have got things wrong.

This is after a season which saw us relegated on 20 April, after nine Premier League home games in a row without scoring, accumulating a meagre points total, and still with five games to play.

There’s been no accountability or responsibility, and no indication of what the plan is regarding playing staff and style of play when the Championship season starts on 8 – 10 August … in nine weeks.

One of the big issues raised at the meeting of Fans Consultative Committee Working Groups on 30 April was the growing disconnect between the fans and the club, and the failure of the club to communicate.

Foxes Trust Board Member Harry Gregory represented the Trust at the event on 30 April, along with Ian Bason who attended in his role as the Trust representative on the Fan Advisory Board.

The minutes have now been published, but unless you dig deep into the LCFC website, they are difficult to find. Both our Trust Board members taking part believe them to be a very fair representation of the sessions they took part in, and Harry said it was good to read that the minutes accurately stated:

“It was felt that the disconnect between fans and the Club was largely due to a ‘communication void’ from the Club. Group members felt unhappy with the lack of communication from senior leaders/owners at the Club about relegation and requested a statement from the owners/leaders.”

Despite the ‘communication void’, being spelt out to the club in the fan engagement meetings, and it being openly referred to in the minutes drafted by the club, over a month later, nothing changes.

The minutes, which record a wealth of information of interest to most LCFC supporters, are buried on the official website.

Issues like …

  • Steps to engage better with LCFC supporter groups
  • The excellent work carried out in respect of Leicester City in the Community
  • Safe Standing
  • The matchday experience for 2025/26
  • Ticketing … both for home and away games with away priority points discussed, and digital ticketing.

You will find full details of those discussions here:

FCCWorkingGroups_MeetingThree__Final.pdf

It really is worth a read and we’d encourage you to do so. Meanwhile we wait to see when LCFC will improve the way they engage and communicate with their supporters.

No point in discussing this any longer !
we’ve all seen as much as we want to

Let’s just hope he sells the club before he does any more damage.

The club doesn’t stand a chance while this idiot is here.

Get him out !!!!

I've been critical before, but this was refreshing and good to read. I hope we, as a fanbase and connected trust can become increasingly outspoken, not just in language but channels in which communication happens.

I can confirm that if they announced it, that would indeed trigger the financial provision they are seemingly trying to avoid.

I think that’s what we all assumed, as you confirm financially we have to wait. It all makes sense, I’d hope that it means the next manager is all lined up too.

Though a sad state of affairs we are in this position though.

The void has been breached!

We have communication from the CEO!!

Club statement!!!

Oh, it's about a plane crash in India. As you were.

Priorities.

I know it sounds insensitive, but our ownership will do literally anything but address our current plight.

I’d almost guarantee that Rudkin & Top haven’t even discussed any names yet

You can’t rush these things 😂

Pretty amazed at that. Fan base awaiting some kind of communication from the top, radio silence on all the important club matters and they go with direct quote from Whelan on a plane crash!
