I imagine it'll be taken personally rather than a genuine offer for help.

I've sent loads but general gist of things....

- Don't post content just for the sake of it, the days of having to post every day, ten times a day are gone, every single social platform values quality and engagement over quantity.

- Produce quality, engaging, insightful content that is human and relateable, even vulnerable at times, give fans access to things they can't normally see. Gave the example that interviews with players can be seen ANYWHERE, but a day in the life of a player from home to training and beyond... can't

- Involve fans, spend the summer posting polls and asking what content they'd like to see, then do it!

- Don't be scared of fan forums, use them and learn from them, create an account, nothing stopping you! Find out information and form a marketing strategy around it.

That sort of thing...

With the fan forums, in the clubs defence you can’t have an account. It would be relentless. They will look here for sure, every club does.

They’ve taken ideas from stuff that’s said on here before but the only way a club could engage on a message board is if they employed external SLO’s and adopted the European model of recruiting from the stands for SLO’s rather than the flawed UK / FSA model of pick someone internally that could be an SLO.

For an example here is Jimmi from Brondby, the longest serving, most respected SLO in Denmark. Imagine asking him to wear a club suit, ear piece and body cam? 🤣

(he’s not the tubby guy on the right!

Why not? I'm not suggesting it says "IAMTHELCFCADMIN", just a regular account, ask the odd question, get answers. Doesn't have to be clear and obvious they work for the club.

Also if they're already doing this, then they're certainly not learning from it.

Ok, sorry. if it’s not an official account you mean then they probably do. They’ll also have “friends of the club” that will post on their behalf / fish / spread positivity.

When I’ve launched stuff the clubs hadn’t been sure of before the first 10-15 comments would mostly be planted.

Apologies hadn't realised you used to work for the club/another club (assume that's what you're saying?)

Own up then, who is it? Who's spreading positivity here as an LCFC mole. My money is on @Lako42or @Sol thewall Bamba

Things at Leicester City Football Club are absolutely great. We have a great recruitment strategy, our great management team is in place and feeling great, and the club's fan are fully behind the team, which is also great. We are probably not getting any points deducted, and to celebrate this, I heard that all fans are all getting 2 pairs of happy clappers on the first home game. :yesyes:

This is brilliant, insightful and wise advice. I wouldn’t hold our collective breaths that anyone at LCFC is receptive to wise and insightful recommendations…

I'd argue we're about 10 years behind any Premier League side and probably 5-10 years behind a lot of FL clubs. It's that bad.

The worst bit is all their peers are the perfect people to learn from, borrow ideas, improve upon them etc. Doesn't feel like there's a lot of looking outwards.

What sort of position within a club searches the respective forums? What’s their job title?

90% of those at a club will look at boards and socials.

Searching for praise, criticism and water cooler chat. A lot of time spent guessing who is who and who is posting what and also looking for genuine feedback.

A lot of watching done by stadium staff to look for trouble, instigators, protests etc. Screenshots taken to build up portfolios for those they fear may cause a problem etc.

I’m guessing it’s Marketing or Insights teams!

Fan engagement team will do as well I would think.

aye, they'll be all over it looking for praise and ideas.

I used to trawl a bit on boards to see if anyone needed any help, had any issues etc. Twitter was better back then for it but they all have a place.

Reckon some of the players do, out of their own curiosity?

Twitter and IG yes, boards I’d say no.

Thanks.

Wouldn't be surprised if Ian Stringer lurks occasionally, given that he had an account or two on here and did some Q's and A's with posters..

Between us getting relegated in April and the start of the Championship season there are 110 days. 110 days to sort stuff out, make plans and generally for Rudkin and the owner to do their jobs.

We're 61 days in (54%) of the way through that window and there's been nothing. No statement, no plans, hardly a rumour of any departures or incomings. All we have is a half baked 3 game pre season schedule, one game of which is basically an in house friendly.

Total negligence. And before any apologists pipe up bleating about waiting for July because of "PSR", remember we're ****ed by PSR because of the decision making of Rudkin and Nepo Baby, nothing else.

We are now 83 days (75%) of the way through the window, and we still have no manager, no comms, no departures and no incomings.
