Dunno if it was there choice. But Neves and Cancelo playing in America yesterday and carrying a coffin in Portugal this morning is insane. Really hope they weren’t told they had to!

Well there's the horror injury sustained by a high profile player at the CWC then. Just come off the back of an injury riddled season and now he's sustained a potentially career ending leg breaker in a glorified pre season friendly.

 

But nah, it's still a great idea cos Fluminese and Al Hilal did some bits. European teams are just snobs.

Might be one for a different thread but one thing that annoys me in scenarios like this are when its said 9 man PSG beat Bayern. They were up nil up before then, had 2 players sent off very late on and only scored their 2nd after Bayern threw everyone forward at the end.

True they where all fair decisions just seemed like he was winding them up but he’s that type of ref.

36 matches so far at this Club World Cup, the first one with the new setup, and we're blaming one freak injury on a whole tournament?

I'm not necessarily a big fan of pre-season competitions, but this CWC has been rather enjoyable.

 

It's not as if Musiala's inclusion was Kompany's and his staff's decision.

Maresca must have some sort of stat of highest % of games managed against a club with a tiny fraction of his budget ever. Even in this they've basically hit nobody of note until the final.
