so you’ll know he scored 3 goals in his first4 games for the national team? Since his breakthrough . 4 in 8 appearances isn’t too shabby at all.

besides, I don’t think the USA should be singled out for bigging up their young talent. Some on here….  Monga  is the messiah and he’s not even started a game yet and he’s only 16.  Every national inflates the reputation of their young stars.

He’s nearly 25 and only has 17 career MLS (farmers league) goals in nearly 60 appearances. We can do better.

US players are proven to be inflated and overrated. Most are on their European teams because of perceived marketing potential or because of American owners.

A new striker needs to be where the majority of whatever transfer budget we have has to go on

We COULD use Ayew and Daka but Ayew cannot run and we have seen with Daka that a bit of a hit to his confidence and he would be lucky to play for Coalville Town

Hopefully we don't get anywhere near the likes of Ings and Wilson, we don't need any more 30+, highly paid, injury prone players

I wouldn't be so sure, one game this season our striker managed  to miss an open goal from 1 yard and hit the post, the ball then came back into the box where he missed the ball completely while unmarked from about 4 yards out, we then got another cross in. Midfielder heading it top corner and the same striker somehow managed to block the header from going in lol

This all happened within the space of about 20-30 seconds.

Daka would feel right at home at Owen Street :D

Vardy started in a ‘ farmers league’ Bout the same age too when he came to us. Bit older in fact.

hes no Vardy… not many people  are.. but  he’s tailor made for the championship

When you get players who play for average teams move to a better team and better players around them they often get better stats. That’s a fact too

but I’d still dispute the fact that America over hypes their players more than we do. Just need a beating heart In England and you’re the next messiah.

Someone on loan from one of the big boys - delap esc would do very nicely - we aren’t spending big money on anyone especially with daka still around and not able to move him on

He ... umm... wasn't good enough last time around.

His level is League 1

His record at Champ level was a goal every 156 minutes.  A goal or assist every 91 minutes.

It's a pretty good record to be fair.

Thing is Vardy was getting 35 goals a season in the "farmers league"

Well Delap specifically isn't going to be available, so who is the next Man City, Chelsea, Premier League Yoof that we can chance on?  George at Chelsea probably.

Strikers are getting a rarer and rarer commodity, can't see us getting a loan from any top clubs that's going to be worth it for us.  If George for example showed anything we wouldn't be able to secure him for anywhere near reasonable money, if at all.  Gotta look abroad imo.

Top goal scorer in the championship got 19 goals this season - piroe at Leeds - that’s absolutely embarrassing- if daka started 90% of the games so 35 games ish he gets more than 19 all day long with Mav and fats feeding him - 19 is pathetic and if you go down the list it’s absolutely minging -Josh brownhill got 18 and then you are 15 or less - honestly that is absolutely horrible at that level - the championship is rank

which truly was a farmers league.  MLS is more low championship high league 1. I mean, one of Ageymang teammates  at club level is Wildred Zaha… not really a farmers league level player. Funnily enough, Charlotte FC, their team, are one of the clubs that have put an offer in to Vardy..

That was going well until the assumption that if he came here he'd have better players around him 🤣

I’d like an unearthed diamond, like what we did when we found Fatawu.

like been hyped up and in an big teams academy for a while just needs his chance in a first team

TBF Daka and Ayew should be good enough for the Championship.

Makes getting a competent manager in even more important.

Daka is not good enough full stop.......

Dyche would go for Patrick Ageymang

Him and Hadji Wright from Coventry. Not only would we have the  USA starting strikers, but both of them are 6ft 4. We’d be an aerial threat at set peices but Ageymang is a right unit. Plus he is RAPID and can dribble  past players. Play target man or can trap, turn and burn.

Going to Derby alongside Carlton Morris 😂😂😂 we are now worse at bringing in players than Derby, what a life

Watch Agyemang almost every week over here. He's a decent prospect for sure. Big, quick, strong as an ox and a really good dribbler for his build. Speaks well too. Much as I like him though, he's still raw and not the finished article, still think we could do better. He will do well at Derby though IMO.
