Not great reading but most concerning is for me is where the article states the level of debt to equity ratio was at perilous levels in 2023, is a concern given Tops preference for using Macquarie Bank as a ‘pay day’ loan facility on future revenues. Has he done similar with King Power, makes me wonder and fear how much financial trouble we are in …..

Just out of interest, where is Susan Whelan at the moment? - is she here or is she in Thailand?

They're a busted flush - that much is obvious.

Yes. You are either living off past glories or hoping for an overhaul or regime change that has never looked like happening.

Still hiding under her desk

A less-than-flattering portrayal of Aiyawatt & co.

But this outlet is apparently known for twisting tales to fit its own agenda - a Thai equivalent of GB News, perhaps?

The City owner, whatever troubles he may have in Thailand, will continue to rub shoulders with our own royal elite at polo matches in England.

Worth noting.

Very few "news" media don't have a bias.

The vile and vicious comments on this forum towards the chairman, are really quite disgusting. Yes we know he has messed up at times since he was thrust into the chair, but there are many good things he and his family have done for our club and City since they came in. I really hope that those on here who are posting these comments, will not be attending matches next season. If not, you can satisfy yourselves that you apparently are the only ones who care about our club, because your vicious comments mean in your heads, that you are the true fans and the ones attending, are only going out of habit. Has it never occurred to you that we actually watch City because we support them, we don’t enjoy seeing them relegated, but we stick by them in the bad times. What is it some of you sing? In the good times and the bad we always back the lads, that’s a joke.Vichai would be turning in his grave if he witnessed the hate aimed at his son.

vile? what saying hes doing a piss poor job at running the club? we can say that, im not going to say well done to my doctor if he misdiagnoses me with something am i?!?!

they might have done many good things for the club but theyve done some bad ones too,

oh and about attending matches, so why doesnt top attend every single one then? since he "cares" about the club so much....

true fans attending want the club to be in a healthy position in every single aspect for which WE ARE NOT

we all love the club but some of the people within the club do not, they dont seem to care,

also most of us have a right to feel a bit pissed off with them, as frankly it doesnt feel like they treat us as fans anymore, just as another number

whatever your taking/smoking/injectiing, get off it

I’d say it’s worth noting that a media source for Thailand which doesn’t have a great record with media freedom is publishing it. That would suggest they are doing with acceptance its not going to hurt them

I find the lines always about the good of the club and city slightly troubling given likely job losses and impact on the economy over the forthcoming period.

there’s a great deal of cynicism on the season ticket charge last summer and the club have not been clear at all with the money from that

Worth Noting

”The Nation” is owned by a right wing  company with links to the Thai Government and Royal Family

The Two groups KP need on side and were previously close too

Reality is the Thai government aren’t going to be happy with Aiyawatt bankrupting their biggest airports

There is a pattern here, whenever Top is involved there seems a blatant disregard to any common sense, financial planning  and budgeting. The worry for me is if he has overseen such a disaster with King Power what underlying damage has he done to the club, just how bad are things at LCFC and the finances.

I would be more than happy for KP to sell up and for us to get new owners and hierarchy. We need a fresh start and ideas. What  I don’t like is the level of personal abuse being dished out.

Any chance you can quote the vile and vicious comments?

Just because they created our most successful period in our history, it doesn’t mean they can’t be criticised for what is happening in the present. Such as;

- 2 relegations in 3 years

- mismanagement of PSR causing breaches and punishments.
- poor managerial appointments last season

- no structure or development plan going forward

- no communication to the fans about, well, anything

- agreeing to pay average players high wages, crippling the club to get the off the books

i could go on. Yes they have been great, but the wall is falling in around them and the blame lies at Tops door for letting it happen. That’s not being vile, that is stating facts. The article also points that KP is poorly ran and is struggling. Definitely not a good sign for the future.

If you look back  at the many various posts relating to the owner over the last few months, you will find plenty of vicious, personal insults. My response was due to being sick of this constant abuse. It would be in everyone ’s interest if they sold up and we could have new owners and hierarchy. Stating what has gone wrong, is not being personally abusive as it is factual. Calling him a c… and telling him to f… off, is.

I agree that people shouldn’t be abusive but when the club that people love is just being destroyed and the person ultimately responsible, continues to show zero interest in changing anything and who continues to put friendship above the club … abuse is what he’s going to get. It would be the same at any club (probably worse) not saying it’s right but he makes a rod for his own back.

I think it could be argued that even Vichai’s empire wasn’t built based on business acumen.

No business gets as big as King Power was without doing something shady along the way

Ian Stringer still think Tops a great owner? W**ker.

All the evidence needed to suggest he probably isn't then.
