Wasn’t Cooper sacked because players had downed tools, now RVN I did point this out never going to work letting players be in control

Nothing to do with them both being shit.

Be interesting to hear his side of the story, he as much as implied before the transfer window opened we had a shite defense without actually saying it and got no money, plus certain players that couldn't be bothered, we have too many overpaid players that can't give a toss about the club who just pounce about the club as if they are too good for us.

That said aside we should get a level headed championship manager who can do the job not waste money on someone like Dyche who you only going to sack if we get to the premier and struggling so be more expense.

Basically even with the shite we have left after selling off the decent players in a loose sense, we should have enough to quality for at least play off.

I mean, that's hardly controversial is it? I imagine RVN was in europe holidaying or at home or whatever.

Pre-season is due to start on Monday. So today/this weekend is the time to travel back to the UK.

Video call to save everyone the bother of travelling makes sense.

Imagine calling him all the way back just to sack him

Now that really would have been the heartless thing to do

Before the new financial year - interesting.

Anybody with more knowledge than me know what this means? Perhaps agreed to a lower payoff that we felt could fall in this financial year?

Maybe willing to pay compensation for Rohl in the new financial year, so take the hit of sacking Ruud under this financial year?

Or maybe Coady’s been sold and they’ve used that money to sack Ruud under this financial year?

Surely, they have someone lined up and will be done fairly quickly.

I get the stupid reason for waiting this long to sack Ruud, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t identified who they want to takeover.

I expect we will hear over the next few days of who we are close to appointing.

If not, and they are only just starting the shortlist, then they deserve League 1.

What a disgusting way to treat someone. Do they not realise this is now our reputation as a club? They have lied to the last 4 managers about transfer funds and have now ignored the last one for several months about whether they even have job or not. What manger would want to come to a club like that?

I’ve done a few things to avoid giving someone a birthday present, but sacking him before his birthday on July 1st beats them.

(Ignoring his inability to do the job and utter inadequacy as a manager)

If I was a manager I would love to take the job . I ain't just saying that just because I support the club

I would see it as a exciting challenge and would jump at the chance ..

Leicester city are a brillant club in my opinion

Even if you knew you couldn't trust your employers?

I'd love it if they still gave RVN a happy birthday message 😂

Even if they lie to you and make you look bad. Potentially ruining further career prospects!

I think people under sell the club

If you do a good job you keep it or move onto another by choice

If u do a bad job u get sacked

It's not difficult

And there is no proof the club ever lied to ruud its all hearsay

The press release says ‘with immediate effect’

Yeah, but the payment doesnt have to arrive in his bank account with immediate effect. 3-5 working days on a slow bacs transfer. And if Rudkin sent the p45 by fax he won't get it in time anyway :D

Far too simplistic

Being lied too and misled factors in. Especially if you aren't a fraud manager and could actually get a job somewhere with competent leadership in place.

Accounting standards are pretty clear that you have to recognise a liability when you meet the criteria "the entity has an obligation at the reporting date as a result of a past event, it is probable that the entity will be required to transfer economic benefits in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be estimated reliably."

Whether the official termination is dated 27th June or 1st July, the event is the club issuing the press release stating the contract has been terminated.

Therefore, the timing of the actual document might affect whether the cost goes in the accounts as an accrual rather than a payment, but the fact remains it is a cost in the accounts to the end of June '25.

There may be some arguments about adjusting costs into different periods from the statutory accounts for PSR calculations, but I can't see any way the club would get away with that.

My feeling is that they have run their calculations for the year to June '25 and have decided to put this cost in '24-'25 after all. Whether this is to breach all in 1 go and leave '25-'26 clear, or whether they have juggled enough to put the cost through is the big question, but I do think this decision has been made based on having as much information as possible as to what the June '25 results will be.

My gut feeling is they’ve decided to take the hit this financial year and just deal with the consequences to get it over with rather than kicking the can further down the road. Something us fans have been stating to do for a while.

Yet again where’s the accountability from anyone at board level, jobs should be lost.

There's people at the club who have been doing a terrible job for years and still keep their job.

I inferred from your post earlier you work for the club?

This is a pretty naive comment.

Priorities and funds change all the time. How many workers trust that their existing employers might not pivot, change their team dynamic or even make redundancies?

A manager needs to be adaptable.

I also hate this notion that Rodgers was somehow hard done by in the transfer market. He is one of the biggest causes of where we find ourselves now.
