Absolutely love when people continually melt down over pre season games. Even more so when its the first one

Even more so when it's before we actually have a manager in charge.

Only 4 of this lot on show now, will likely play half the games next season,

Were toothless in the box. We need a striker.

It’s going to be hard for anyone with a midfield duo of Winks and Skipp though

Based on that first half a key emphasis appears to be pressing from the front, similar to last season with us pressing in a 4-4-2, for a first pre season game we looked good, lack of creativity in the final third still apparent though.

Jakub - Nothing to do, distribution has been meh.

Ricky - Looks premier league standard in the inverted role.

Okoli - Stopped multiple counter attacks, very solid and comfortable.

Nelson - Potentailly our best centre back at the club.

Thomas - Comfortable, tucking in more to firm up the back four.

Winks - don’t like the guy but he looks a class above.

Skipp - Appears his confidence is completely shot.

Wanya - Dribbling ability is so clear to see, just lacks any end product.

Golding - Has such a weird dribbling style, it makes him look uncomfortable but makes it work. I struggle to see him breaking through.

Mavs - Looks like he has a point to prove, him and winks have been our best players.

Evans - Tidy work in retaining possession. I looks like a no.10 to me not a forward.

Thought Evans looked tidy. Don't know why one of the best goalscorers in the reserves is being written off as a goalscorer based off 45 mins in preseason.

Stick some creativity behind him like El Khannous or fatawu and he will score.

Second-half XI

Here's your starting XI for the second-half.

XI: Bausor; Justin, Coady, Aluko, Kristiansen; Soumare, Alves, Page; Monga, Joseph; Thomas.

I think for me he needs to play behind a striker, we lack options in that role especially if Bilal leaves, that’s where I think his future is. Especially if we end up sticking to the pressing in a 4-4-2.

Trust me his ability to run in behind is also good, we just haven't seen that since we cant play down the middle with this dogshit midfield. He will be more than good enough as a lone striker.

Winks, skipp and golding offer nothing between the 3 of them. Wouldn't want any of them starting let alone all 3.

That ability can be a huge asset for No.10’s as well though, making late runs into the box, running behind when the striker drops deep.

His height and size will see him go missing often in games due to opposition physicality, playing in gaps and free spaces whilst running behind would suit him imo.

Braybrooke being leap frogged by Page isn’t a great look for his future here.

He failed at Dundee which was a real red flag. If he had a chance here he had to be a class above up in a pub league.

He's short but he's a man strength wise, he was able to compete in the duels he had.

He’s not had a future here for several years. But we need to let him go so he can get down to league 2 and try and make a career for himself. Clearly just one of those players who can’t get strong and that will be his downfall.

If I was him I’d be trying to get a gig in Europe

Just my opinion that at least at this stage of his career he would be better as a No.10/second striker.
