Unless Evans hits the ground running, we are going to need a striker I think.

Banging in goals for the reserves is one thing, first team football is a big step up.

Nelson looks so comfortable

Marcal is getting lot of ball out wide but lacks a final ball

Golding looks bit awkward

Evans perhaps bit isolated. Hopefully can get more involved soon

Good run out so far. It's pre season so doesn't mean much but our pressing looks reasonable

Albrighton on comms just said many training sessions down the years have been wind effected and limits training on set pieces etc.

Great planning lads 👍

You would think a good manager / set piece coach would notice the big indoor pitch / arena that we have and use that instead of struggling through the wind outside

I figured it was nailed on we’d be buying or loaning a striker… assuming no embargo

Fast approaching afternoon nap territory here.

I love the man more than life itself but you wouldn't get Albrighton on the after dinner circuit would you

We need to get someone near the goal on attacks.  There's times they're passing it around their goal mouth and the ball is being crossed begging for a striker to tap it in.

Only clever guys like you can see it. ;)

Oh you don't have to be that clever to see it don't flatter me.

Read Winning! by Clive Woodward and then come back and tell me small margins either way don't stack up.

Nelson looks like a cultured shithouse. Loved that sly foul on their main striker. Seconds later he'll be taking it on the chest with a cruyff turn.

Or Kingy has a mind of his own and it’s a formation and style that he likes.

Could be either

clearly it’s a formation the players like but teams have become used to facing it over the past 18 months

I think to work it needs some top level creativity high up the pitch

Definitely we have looked really good on the ball until the final 3rd when it breaks down, Mavididi aside we are lacking creativity.
