Jayden Joseph looks a prospect.....raided forward regularly and one or two nice cross field passes..and a goal too!

More than anyone i hope that Baybrooke has a good loan. His confidence looked shot in pre season which was sad to see.

 

Even if he doesnt break through with us hopefully this loan puts his career back on track after that injury.

The Falkirk fans love Cartwright! Hope Marti is keeping an eye on him.


Cartwright was f**king immense today. What a baller. Absolute travesty he didn’t get MOTM. 

 

Cartwright looks like a baller. Love to see him get stuck in and use his physicality to hold off other players. Thought our other new signings made a decent impact too.

 

The midfield was excellent though- Cartwright in particular was everywhere and his passing was brilliant.

 

Cartwright my motm today, once again he was fantastic. Undroppable now


Got to admit Cartwright is a unit, never shirked a challenge and made his presence known.  no fear in him.

Perhaps we are viewing it wrong and need to just see them succeeding on loan as an opportunity to bring some revenue in. Alves for example, come the summer, will have 2 years left. Best option is to look for a sale if he is coming off the back of a strong season in league one. I have said the same about Nelson as he will only have a year left in the summer so maybe try to sell on in January.

 

Its a shame as I, like you, want to see them break through and succeed but sometimes you can just tell very early (example being that Rodgers was taking us down and needed to go) and I have a similar certainty that I did early with that about Nelson and Alves in that sadly, I think their time here is done.

They had an offer at the end of the summer which they didn't take.

Sammy Braybrooke — saw ball early and operated as a tank breaking up threat quickly to use ball. Competed very well despite his diminutive size and provided some precise crosses.

 

That's great to read, never been a doubt his ability on tha ball, it's always been his ability to compete physically.

This loan could be the making of him regards to the defensive & physical side of his game
