Can we stop the ‘you’re shit aaaah ” chant to the opposition GK it’s now cringeworthy. Watched on Sky today with some neutrals and it was embarrasing

Me neither we were doing it in the 80's.  But one of the problems is we have so many members of the song police out there.

Your so right.  Im always hearing or reading it.  This song is cringe, that song is tinpot, this chant is not factually correct, that song people get the words wrong, this song has too much swearing etc etc etc.

These are football chants! They dont have to be musical masterpieces written by a team of songwriters and an admin assistant checking the facts about what is being sung will be correct

If people hold all the above views about songs , its no wonder we are restricted to little pockets of people making noise, unless its leicester leicester leicester or come on leicester.

And then in the next breath the very same people will moan about quiet ends or lack of atmosphere !

I see clips at the station of 4 songs, same 4 songs are trying to be sung when the music is blaring (something I’ll never understand) and then the same 4 songs sung in the first 3 mins of the game..

then its rinse and repeat. Week in week out.

At least if something was taken out the song thread it might bring a glimpse of a smile. 6000 zombies yesterday, so depressing lol

It’s English football culture. I love it.

The songbook being so thin is really not helping.

Exactly this. There wasn’t a single player specific chant in the block I was in yesterday.

Player songs aren't the answer. Good for 6 months then the players turns shit or leaves or both. Need more club focussed stuff but even proper rent a tune stuff is impossible to get going at our place nowadays.

And then when we had two good ones for Mavididi and Winks, the manager named in them left instead... lol

... And then they both turned shit as well.

So someone who can’t be bothered to drag himself to a game but would sooner watch on tv wants to change the atmosphere/ songs at away days?

Who  put you in charge?

I'm sorry some neutrals cringed at something that's nothing to do with them.

It's arguably the chant that influences what's happening on the pitch more than any other we do. Every now and then it properly rattles the opposition goalkeeper to a degree that affects their performance.

Yes drum moved more central and up two rows to try something different.

As above, the section as a whole felt refreshed and positive before the players ruined everyone's mood. Good few rows at top of SK2 standing and getting involved. I think once we get something to get behind on the pitch it will be banging in that corner.

Was not at Burton but agree on the sort of refresh. Plenty of new faces I thought.

Bloody brilliant ufs, quality braybrooke chant which will catch on :appl:

Yes seemed like a there was some younger new faces in there which is great to see. A couple of them were really going for it! Hopefully home tickets will become a lot easier and cheaper to get from now on and groups of lads (and girls) can get get tickets with their mates and get involved in the atmosphere.
