It's a shame because proper clubs don't need them. The one in L1 has needed to go for years.

Really? No English team has a good atmosphere and everyone else with a good atmosphere uses drums

For big games they do, not consistently.

Don’t people realise the flashlights were kids in the family area who started it and around the east stand I was looking at small kids joining in. It’s half term and kids can stay up past 9.30.. there are far more issues to discuss surely :dunno:

And all evidence suggests that wont happen. Even 3 wins in 4 is an outlier for us (Marti achieved it once, then it was Enzo before him). We have tough run of fixtures coming up, and are the sorts of ones where the fans really need to be behind the team. The current approach, which is to almost distance everything away from the fans, feels very odd.

Oh, I'm not at all confident that we will actual get the wins needed to get us up the table. I remain completely unconvinced by us. We've played Wigan and Bromley in our last four games and they were both worse than useless.

Millwall and Everton do not consistently generate good atmospheres. My uncle is an Everton fan and I've been to Goodison Park more than any other non-Leicester ground in England and most of the time the atmosphere was dire. However, they do know how to really turn it on when they need to. It's just most of the time it isn't good.

If we had a block of around 3k/4k willing to sing from the off we might be able to pull it off without a drum.

That was the whole point of the section and ufs promoting the section and g1 relocations which they done well. It may have been taken up well at the time but sadly the club in the stale state it’s in has knocked every bit of joy out of the people who go. Don’t help the fact that the vocal ones are spread out over the section.. in and around row S to AA there are rows of empty seats especially last night.. A few fresh voices down there wouldn’t go a miss and might just fill the void when the drum ain’t there..

Wasnt sure why hundreds of people were running down the stairs at 85 mins though like there was a sniper in the building.. I thought we were winning 2-0 lol but oh well. Maybe a bit more positivity Saturday if they don’t concede in quick fashion..

Yeah.

The point was the use of drums though.

But only occasionally, was mine and someone else's counter point. I think if you have a drum you at least make it more likely for an average game to not be completely lifeless. The atmosphere would still not have been good yesterday had there been a drum in SK1, but I think it's fair to say that it wouldn't have been as bad.

And after the goals you wouldn’t have had the goal celebration chant at 4 different times 😂

A very strange disconnect everywhere, especially considering it was a win and a clean sheet. Very little celebration from the players with the fans, Russell barely came on the pitch at full time. Regardless of the dross we are playing, 3 wins in 4 is the form we need to be hitting, although its hard to see any actual improvements on the pitch. The management and the club have clearly given up on trying to build any bridges with the fans at the moment.

I still feel punch drunk from the Peterborough game, watching Savage fist pump the away end. It was a horrific moment that going to take me a long time to recover from.

The style does knock all passion out of you. Other than the goals there were very few exciting moments, and far to much semi circle passing around the opponents penalty area. Its also tough knowing that if the opponents had any quality, then you end up losing that game. So often we are passing in by their penalty area, compressed, and we lose possession and with 1 pass they are one on one with either Souttar of Okoli defending. Reality is Wigan should probably have been 1-2 up at half time. Reality is any team we play who us who can either press effectively or has some pace and a little quality up top gets something against us.

It was annoying but isn't it a slight exaggeration that it will ''take you a long time to recover from''? I get it's the pits down at the KP but are we sometimes guilty of sensationalism a bit.

I refuse to believe that ground was only half full. I'd have put put it around 22k, myself, if I had to guess.

Thankfully you don't have to guess because its the official figure supplied by the club.

Just have a good look around the whole place when you next go.

Away end had 2600+ empties for a start.

North stand half full quite blatantly.

So according to the clubs released figure there was in excess of 10,000 ST holders who didn’t turn up last night.

I think some need to come to terms that we are going through our lowest actual averages at home since the 90’s.

The only way this manager can build a rapport with the fans is to win games and get us up the table. If we can beat Stevenage and then or next league game, which is most likely to be Huddersfield away given that Bradford is in the international break, then the mood will be a more positive one.

That is literally all it is

People go on about the manager and the style of play this and that and the other because of the situation we are currently in in this league

Three wins in the last four is without doubt better for us, but for many it’s not enough

I’m not by any means saying this is going to happen, but just as an example if we go on a long unbeaten run for say the next 20 games where we win most of them, no one‘s going to be arsed about our style of play. They’ll just be happy with showing consistency in getting results.

the playing style and everything else only really matters now because we have been inconsistent.

be consistent and a lot of the negative noises stop for most people

We're not though, are we? Our average attendance so far this season has been substantially higher than at the beginning of the 2010's despite now being in the league below. Not only do the attendance figures back this up, but if you watch clips of home games from that period, there were clearly far more empty seats. Hell, even the first half of the 3/14 season where we ended up winning the league at a canter we had lower attendances overall than this season.

You'll never get a great atmosphere with this style of football. Sad fact

The owners have removed any sense of character from the fan base. Whether that be pushing back on any tifo, to the manufactured mass flags or sterile atmosphere. We've had 6/7 years of them doing this and now we wonder why we don't have any soul

Available to the agencies that matter.

Maybe you can submit some form of Freedom of Information request or something? I don't know.

It was a pretty cold and Windy Tuesday night against bottom of the league Wigan in League one. Im struggling to see how people are so suprised by the number.

Unless im getting a cash prize for proving that im right, you can either take my word for it or continue guessing. :dunno:

I've got no negative agenda here. Personally I dont thing the number I posted is that bad given where we are and a Tuesday night.
